Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ. (Col 2:16-17)

  1. Foods
  2. Festivals
  3. New moons
  4. Sabbaths

Four shadows. Can anyone suggest how these were fulfilled in Christ? For example, how was the keeping of Sabbaths 'found' in Christ?

Foods- our souls find true sustenance only in God.
Festivals-As followers our greatest thing to celebrate is the love of God shown through Christ.
New Moons-not sure I would have to research
Sabbaths-Our true rest is in God through Christ.

Agreed. I also am not sure how the New Moons would apply. I never gave it that much thought before. Something to go study! :)

Thanks for that. But ...

How would a traditional 7th-day Adventist answer the question?
How would a 'moderate' Sabbath-keeping believer answer the question?

Im a regular non-Sabbatarian Christian but Im asking on this forum because I want to see an explanation from a Sabbath-keepers point of view.
