  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Any moms in here with babies around that age? I will hopefully be starting a new nanny position in the next couple of days and the youngest child is right at 4 months. I'm having so much trouble remembering what all Breanna was doing at that age! It's crazy how quickly you forget!

I know that every child is different, but I thought it might help me prepare a little to get a heads-up from anyone here! How does your baby occupy his/her time?

Remy just napped and rolled around on the floor, he didn't really do much of anything. I read to him and let him watch some TV, he fell in love with Hannah Montana. lol So I let him watch her, he smiles whenever she comes on (he's 7 months now).

4 months? Not a lot! Still not moving much (May be rolling), so you'll be doing a lot of carrying on the hip, propping up in chairs/pram/rockers etc. It is a great age for one on one, face to face play. Also play mats are good. My 5 month old finds his big sister incredibly entertaining!

My little girl Anna is 4 months and about all she does is lay in the floor and roll...but she wants to play alot more...its a good age to play peek a boo and to sing interactive songs like if youre happy and you know it...she loves that one!!! She loves the Noggin channel too with Blues Clues and the Wonder Pets!!!

Emily just turned 5 months, and she really likes being in my face. She wants to touch my face and hair and blow bubbles at me! Close interaction is her favorite thing, besides trying to type on the keyboard which is what she is doing right now!!!

Both mine are much older than this, but I think once you are there, it will all come back to you. I guess the mum will know what she likes doing too. So will give you ideas what to do.

I think it's mostly cuddling time and basic games like peek a boo, and making sure they are in a safe environment etc. But yeah, I think it will all come back to you when you are doing it.
