  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

this is how you figure out your GPA; (the letters are grades and numbers are points)

A=4
B=3
C=2
D=1

now say you earned an A in a four credit class. you look at the scale and get 4 points for each credit (4 x 4=16). then say you got a B in a two credit class (3 x 2=6). an A in a three credit class (4 x 3=12) and a C in another three credit class (2 x 3=6). then you add up all the points (16+6+12+6=40). now you take the 40 and divide it by how many credits you took (40/12). you get 3.33 and that is your Grade Point Average. if you have a 4.0 then you have an A average, 3.0 B average, 2.0 C average, etc....

umm... ok, i'll do the ranges for a's, b's, c's, and d.

A=90-100
B=80-89
C=71-79
D=70
anything below 70 is failing.

:)

I've never been graded on that scale. The scale that I've always been graded against is this one...

A - 90-100

B - 80-89

C - 70-79

D - 60-69

F - 59 and below.

My high school grading system is going to scare you....

A+ - 100 ;)
A - 96-99
A- - 93-95
B+ - 90-92
B - 86-89

... a C is somewhere in the low 80's. :p

It stinks, heh. Miss ONE question on a 10 question quiz and you're down to a B already, grrrrrr :)

On the other hand, at Gav Tech, School for the Gifted [sarcastic title] (aka, junior or community college for all the college dropouts ;)), I don't know what they grade as but I got a 97 on my last Spanish test, a 95 on the first one, and not sure about the final exam, there weren't any quizzes, my music teacher just gave everyone an A (no qizzes, tests, homework, or exams), and my volleyball class was show-up and you get an 85, take a 25 question "exam" at the end at that's 15 points. Exam was easy. It was all 'matching' and the first question was "Volleyball is played on a _________"

:D
