This has been along time coming. I have wanted to share my little story of GOD's grace and love with others for a long time now and now that I am apart of this forum and have found my way around it I will post it

My Story:

Back when I was teenager I was going through some difficult times and had come to the very brink of suicide. I somehow managed to prolong my life yet another day (the details are really unimportant so I will leave them out) when I met this girl. Her name was Vickie. The date was Novemeber 14, 1992. Eight days later a very shy and nervous boy (me) asked her to be his girlfriend.
Some years down the road Vickie had gone to a revival with some friends and was saved. As soon as she got to a phone she told me of the glorious news. In sharing of the news I too surrendered my life to JESUS.
Not too long after all of this, not to sure if it was the pressure of being a teenager of just the type of people I was hanging out with, I had backslidden. Our lives still continued and usually only at the worst times we would turn to GOD for help. We became married and started our lives together. Along the way we would very infrequently praise GOD for all he had done for us, but again we would always turn to him for help when in trouble.
As we struggled along we became thirsty for GOD. We began searching for the right church but nothing seemed to even wet the lips of our souls.
I soon went to school to become a MCSE. I finished school, but where we lived there were few jobs for that field so we decided to move, knowing full well what problems lay ahead in doing so. We moved to the only other place we had family in that could support my job needs (Tulsa, OK).
Soon after we moved here we had to file chapter 13 (this is important simply because we had a feeling this might happen but but had faith that we would be taken care of). We also found a church that welcomed us and filled our cups with what we were looking for in CHRIST. Finally we were starting to get the picture. Still we were not living a life pleasing to GOD but that was about to change.
About 4-5 months ago we redidcated our lives to christ. It happened because a series of events that took place in our chuch ( that I will go into detail on another thread and ask for prayers on the matter). Ever since everything in our lives we try to do for CHRIST. Notice I said try, simply becuase sometimes we fail so miserably but every failure is a lesson learned for growth. Our marriage is stonger today than it ever was becuase we incorporate JESUS into now. Without him I believe it would have failed along time ago.
So what in the world is this story about you ask? Well I personally have seen him work so many miracles in our marriage and at times been blinded from the fact. Only recently have I seen many of these things and I feel the need to share his wonderfull love for us all. I also believe now that his plan for everyone of us is so great that sometimes we are oblivious to it just as I was back when I was a teenager. We just need to have faith that through whatever we go through in life it is all part of GOD's plan, we just need FAITH!!!
