It's the 3 year anniversary of my mom dying of cancer. It was the hardest thing I've gone through. I know she is not suffering any more. I miss her so much. Just wanted to say that.

The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Please accept my sympathy on the 3- year loss of your beloved Mom. It will be my first anniversary this November on losing my own mom. And yes, I can agree with you 100% that this is the most difficult thing I've ever gone through. It seems as if the older one is as a child, the more difficult it is to lose one's parent.
I will pray that the Lord grants you comfort and peace. G-d bless you immensely!

Dearest Ruth, this June was the 3rd anniversary of my dad's passing. Like you there are still times I want to pick up the phone and call him or expect him to call me. When that happens I just talk out loud to him. I know he is still with me in some way and I know I will see him again. But I still miss him so much. You are in my prayers.

Thank you Meh. I miss my mother and my father who passed June 9th of this year. I had a deep good cry yesterday which is healing and I thank God for that.

Hello, I just wanted to wish you both good luck. I've had my older half brother and my best friend die, and it has also been three years.
My brother committed suicide and died in his home.
Then about a month later, my best friend got hit by a car and died.
After a year in a half or so, one of my Uncle's died from cancer. He had some kind of cancer in his throat and ended up going into his brain.
I know things get tough in life and the only thing we can do is move on, but if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here. I just wanted to let you know that. Have a wonderful day!

I'm sorry about all your losses. That's so much to bear. I had a sister who committed suicide as well but many years ago. It was a horrendous thing to go through. I'm sorry again.
