How is it possible to partition intangible aspects? How do you know that we are only composed of three parts, and not four? or five?LegomasterJC said:I know it is hard for some people but I don't feel like I have a hard time grasping it at all. Just like we are soul/mind, body, and spirit; God is.
The simple answer is all of them.Mr Ez said:so which one should one worship ? father, son, or holy spirit ?
You have a fair point. The problem is that there is no adequate vocabulary for describing this doctrine of God as His triune nature is byond our comprehension. It is what some of us call a "Mystery" that which we are told but can not explain. other such mysteries include the ressurection of Christ and the end times. I'll gues we have to wait and see until the other side of eternity to get soem of our questions answered.Harold Fletcher said:How is it possible to partition intangible aspects? I agree that it's quite easy to grasp the 3 alleged parts of man that parallels the 3 alleged parts of the godhead. That's just as simple as seeing three apples over here, and matching them with three oranges over there.
But do you understand the trinity itself?

There are clear examples of Jesus being worshiped in the gospels. If he were not God and was a true holy person he should have rebuked his Disciples for that.
I tend to think of the Father as the OT God who apears in Isreal and there are plenty of examples of direct worship of the father. Many of Jesus' own prayers contain worship to the father. The Holy Spirit is present in lives and is who we encounter when we worship or 'feel' or are 'aware' of the presence of God. In Acts and the epistles there are references to worshiping "in" the Spirit.
It is possible to pray to all three as well. For example:
"Jesus save me"
"Father provide for me"
"Holy Spirit enpower me".
And a thankyou to all three does not go amiss!
Hope this helps.
