It’s not that either. What a weird thing to say.Yeah, it's a fetish.
Yet simply having them appear in a video is an "attack" on Christianity. If their simply posing in something that can be interpreted as close to a famous painting is an "attack" how is that NOT denigrating them?I meant attacking homosexuals as perverts, degenerates etc, name calling. That’s not ok.
I think some people interpreted the drag queens as mocking Christianity since the “show” appeared to be last supper, and many conservative Christians don’t like drag queens, but the opening ceremony really wasn’t portraying the last supper.Yet simply having them appear in a video is an "attack" on Christianity. Some men do get turned on by wearing feminine clothes. So yes, it can be a fetish. It’s not that either. What a weird thing to say.
Doesn't really seem the thread to talk about conservative attacks on various minority groups, but I guess if one squinted hard enough it might be tangentially related.Don’t attack anyone. Simple.
Conservatives attacking minority groups eh? You can disagree with someone and their actions without attacking them.Doesn't really seem the thread to talk about conservative attacks on various minority groups, but I guess if one squinted hard enough it might be tangentially related.
One can, but that's typically not what happens. You know, abomination, mentally ill, fetish, so on and so forth.Conservatives attacking minority groups eh? You can disagree with someone and their actions without attacking them.
I don’t know how saying mentally I’ll or fetish, for some people, can be considered an attack, because that is some peoples perception. Abomination, on the other hand, is completely uncalled for.One can, but that's typically not what happens. You know, abomination, mentally ill, fetish, so on and so forth.
Feet can be a fetish. That doesn’t mean when I wear sandals, I’m expressing a fetish or anybody with their feet out is doing it for the purposes of a fetish. Some men do get turned on by wearing feminine clothes. So yes, it can be a fetish.
If Jesus rules with His people and does so as an absolute dictatorship of love, then we of course will reign over this ol world. Now in the first thousand years it will not be 'non believers' we rule over. Jesus will be right here for all to see and hear. The wicked will have been KILLED already.Right. I can see where you got “Christians rule in government with an authoritarian hand over the non believers” out of that.
Speaking of fetishes...If Jesus rules with His people and does so as an absolute dictatorship of love, then we of course will reign over this ol world. Now in the first thousand years it will not be 'non believers' we rule over. Jesus will be right here for all to see and hear. The wicked will have been KILLED already.
The future outlined in the bible is about righteousness finally being on earth and peace and justice as well as the elimination of Satanic forces and demons and people. Calling everlasting righteousness and God's rule ' a fetish' is blasphemySpeaking of fetishes...
Blasphemy is a victimless crime. What sounds like a fetish is this weird fascination with killing all the non-believers. (ETA: Not to mention "dictatorship of love"The future outlined in the bible is about righteousness finally being on earth and peace and justice as well as the elimination of Satanic forces and demons and people. Calling everlasting righteousness and God's rule ' a fetish' is blasphemy
There was a terror attack back then (committed by a Palestinian terror group), and I watched a documentary on that as a young man a decade ago. Scary stuff, and I pray that nothing like this happens in 2024 or any future year. You’re going to want to use Wikipedia to look up the 1972 Summer Games in Munich.
Thank you for defending me, brother. He’s not being silly. It’s gotten much worse over time, and that’s just how he sees it.
It is ancient, but it has gotten worse. Remember when the Roman civilization collapsed, or the collapse of the Greek civilization? Same thing is happening in the 21st century. It it not some new slippery slope to every other thing. It is ancient. Thats my point. If he see it as novel, then hes just ignorant.
Yup. I agree with you there.Feet can be a fetish. That doesn’t mean when I wear sandals, I’m expressing a fetish or anybody with their feet out is doing it for the purposes of a fetish.
I used to struggle a lot more with a weird attraction of my own (not gonna say in the public chat) as a teenager up through my early 20s, but by the grace of God, He has helped free me partially of it to a point that it does not impact me as much, though it does still impact me a bit.Yup. I agree with you there.
I wasn’t saying ALL drag was fetish, only for a few.
Which is the issue. Simply existing is apparently an attack on Christianity.I think some people interpreted the drag queens as mocking Christianity since the “show” appeared to be last supper, and many conservative Christians don’t like drag queens, but the opening ceremony really wasn’t portraying the last supper.
It was more based on someone’s perception rather than what was really portrayed?
Maybe I’m missing the point?
