Science is great, but I like the characterization of it that says, "you spot me the first miracle, then I'll explain the rest".

There are many ways to go about this, but one tried and true is the Romans Road.

You may want to listen to this audio-book of 'The Gospel' ebooklet. It covers all the basics with scripture. It may help you prepare, get some ideas and you can take note of the key scriptutres to use http://www.duluthbible.org/filerequest/9415

It starts off a little slow so be patient for a few minutes, but is very good.

I really don't see the problem. You say your friend believes in God. Science and faith don't have to conflict

Do a study on what the Bible has to say about wisdom, knowledge and understanding. For example: Prov2:6 "For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding." James 1:5 "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you."

A lot of science is based on the natural record that God provides for us. Of course we need to understand what He is wanting us to know from the evidence that He gives us to study and understand.

I don't understand. Are you trying to convince your friend that science doesn't provide reliable answers for how the universe works? Because science does a mighty fine job of that.

Faith and science are not mutually exclusive, nor are they in competition.

I would recommend that both you and your friend, together, perhaps check out biologos.org

Biologos was primarily founded by Dr. Francis Collins, the former head of the Human Genome Project, Dr. Collins is also a devout Christian. The purpose of Biologos is to explore the meeting place of faith and science and to put an end to the modern myth that the two are in opposition.

Your original challenge bothers me. Suppose he prays for two weeks, and feels better about God. It’s not likely to change things in the long run if he still feels that he has to choose between Christianity and science. Since doesn’t answer everything, but for the things that Christians are normally concerned about, the scientific evidence is very clear. It’s unlikely that a brief religious experience will in the end help your friend. It’s a lot better to help him understand that one can accept the scientific picture of the world and be a Christian.

That’s why Via Crucis pointed you to biologos. If you yourself think that you have to reject science to be a Christian, your belief may be the biggest problem between your friend and God. So you might want to consider that it’s just as important for you to learn how science and Christianity can coexist as it is for your friend to read the Bible.

To be honest I'm not trying to compete with it on just trying to help him get saved but he says he leans more the other way than Gods

I like your plan.
I appreciate science, however science can't explain everything.
Christianity and science always seem to be facing off like fighters in Tekken, however there is no reason Christianity and science can't operate in harmony; I don't think some people want that though.

I suggest getting on youtube and looking up a man named Kent Hovind. He actually tackles a lot of this about the creation vs. evolution theory. That'll help you a lot.

Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

.. I hope I have not read this too late, but it seems like two weeks of attention is a very good opportunity to serve The Lord. There is much more to the truth than simply how the world came into being, there is a lot of reason for why Jesus Christ was removed and why so much effort has been to detract from His mission. I would say if it was soon enough, don't go into it with any plan, but get together and pray together, and then see what comes about.

Gerald Schroder scientist on youtube also has a clip arguing that science has already proved God using arguments from the laws of nature to suggest that what we all know as the laws of nature, which even scientists will say were behind the big bang theory, are characterised as being,
1. Not physical.
2. Act on the physical.
3. Formed the physical from nothing.
4. Predates the universe.
The point he makes is, isn't that not the biblical definition of God?
He goes on to suggest that that those laws/forces/God is still active in the world today. ROMANS 1:18-23
The only thing that remains is God personal? If Christ rose from the dead, he is. Can a man say and do the things Christ did? If not, worship him.
