  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Geneva]"For God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts.."

Luke 24:32, "..were not our hearts burning within us?.."

Proverbs 20:27, "The spirit of man is the lamp of the Lord."

other versions update the word 'lamp' to candle, flashlight, etc. But I think it should remain 'lamp' because that kind used oil, and oil refers to anointing. That vital association is lost when the word is modernized.

1 John 2:20, "You have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things."

2 Corinthians 4:6, "..to give illumination of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ."

Psalm 22:24, "

Restore, take back, cause to turn back, convert, bring back, make new again.

Hebrew word is 'shuv'.

Psalm 23:3, "He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake."

Psalm 51:12, "Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit."

Dictionary: restore - bring back to former original condition. To re-establish. To reinstate.
