2 Cor 5:21 He made Christ who knew no sin to [judicially] be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we would become the righteousness of God [that is, we would be made acceptable to Him and placed in a right relationship with Him by His gracious lovingkindness].
Bible Gateway passage: 2 Corinthians 5 - Amplified Bible
Believers are the righteousness of God in/thru Christ
Jesus is called the Light of the World (Jn 8:12). In Him is no darkness (1 Jn 1:5). The good news of the gospel is receiving the free gift of God's grace (Rom 3:24). We access this gift thru faith (Rom 5:1-2, Eph 2:8) When we put our Faith in a sinless Jesus atoning death, burial resurrection. 1 Cor 15:1-4)
Believers are completely cleansed from "all unrighteousness" and "forgiven from every sin Past-Present-Future. You will never be judged for sin. Jesus took ALL your judgment on the cross!
Ps 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.
Bible Gateway passage: Psalm 103 - Amplified Bible
Rom 8:1 Therefore there is now no condemnation [no guilty verdict, no punishment] for those who are in Christ Jesus [who believe in Him as personal Lord and Savior].
Bible Gateway passage: Romans 8 - Amplified Bible
Our adversary, Satan, is called the accuser of the brethren. His aim is to continually bring accusations against us, hoping we'll feel ashamed, turn away, give-up & hide from God. Just like Adam & Eve did (Gen 3:8)
When you hear his lying accusing voice. Resist his lies & he well flee (Ja 4:7) Then declare & proclaim 2 Cor 5:21, I am the righteousness of God in/thru Christ.
Its Christ's payment for our sins. And faith placed "His Sinless Shed Blood & resurrection" that removes ALL our sin (1 Jn 1:7, Rev 1:5). You can rest in the finished work of Jesus Christ. On the cross when, Jesus cried "It is Finished" (Jn 19:28-30) He meant it!
Rejoice, in the new sin management covenant, Christ's righteousness is an imputed GIFT (Rom 5:17).
Righteousness isn't something that we can earn. It is called the GIFT righteousness of God because Jesus kept the law and when we trust/believe/receive Him. Our sins are imputed onto Jesus & He imputes His righteousness onto us. (Rom 4:8 11, 22, 23, 24, Ja 2:23)
This eternal life gift (Rom 6:23) is given via God's Grace (unmerited/unearned/favor). It's received by Faith (Rom 5:1-2, Eph 2:8) placed in Jesus sinless atoning death (sins required wage PAID - Rom 6:23) burial (proof Jesus died) & resurrection (Father God's receipt, sins required wage/payment received & accepted)
Rom 11:29 For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable [for He does not withdraw what He has given, nor does He change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call].
