There is a 1/300 chance that the asteriod 1950 DA may crash into the Earth on March 16, 2880. Is Bush doing anything about this?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Bush is too busy hyping Avian Flu so he can impose martial law. Cheney is planning another attack on NYC so Halliburton can get contracts to rebuild the city. Karl Rove is figuring out how women and minorities can be hurt most by both.

I can just picture the year 2880. Bush XXX is the supreme, unquestioned emperor of North America. He must decide on whether or not to invade Brazil, where oil has been just been discovered a mile under the surface, or stop the asteroid. Which will he choose.

Don't worry! NASA are currently working on developing a Space Tractor. Don't think they have got John Deere on board yet, but they are working on it!

I caught this on the Radio on my way home from work the other night! Apparently the effect of the gravity of the space ship will have enough influence on the Asteroid that without actually making contact over a period of years the Asteroid will change course. Suppose you just have to make sure you have one there early enough, but we should be alright for 2880!
