I Feel A Storm Brewing

Lord God Almighty,

I feel a storm moving in. It sits off on the horizon, as it gathers its forces to come up against me. I can hear the roar of the distant thunder, I can feel the turmoil of it's winds. As it builds up it's strength, and waits for the just the right moment to hit.

If it is within your will Lord, ease the strength of this storm, and keep it's powers at bay. Lord I ask that if this storm must hit, that it will bring healing within it's wings. Do not let it's power overtake me, do not let it's forces sweep me away, or cause me to fall from your kindness and mercy, or your love that I know so well.

Lord you will be my life raft, when the sea starts to churn up against me. You will be my stronghold when the winds try and cause me to fall. I will seek your shelter when the rain starts to fall down upon me. Only you Lord, have the power to rescue, and shelter me from the destructive nature of the storm that is gathering power, to come up against me.

Lord I also ask that if this storm must hit, that you will use me to help guide others into your shelter, so they can also make you their life raft. Do not let it drive them further away Lord, but let it bring them closer to you. Let them seek the same shelter I have found. Let me serve as a light house, a beacon of light, to guide others to the shelter and safety, that only  you can offer when such storms come against us.

Above all else Father, I pray for your will to be done.

There are times in life when no words will come. There is no way to pray. There is only the foreboding. What you have posted here is the prayer I have been unable to pray. But these are the right words.

The storm is sitting there waiting to hit me. And it will hit! Already in my life, I sit on the fringes like that of a hurricane and the winds have already done some damage and they are increasing in intensity.

And yet as this storm takes away all I love in this life, and blows away the love of those whose lives are what makes my world oft times not only bearable but joyful, I grow stronger and stronger and I set my jaw all the tighter.

"...for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day."

Like Job said: "Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him:"

God in His infinite wisdom always knows best and I have learned the hard way, and I know right well, He is not only able, but He is most definitely in charge. His will for my life will prevail.

For the first time, I can sing: Jesus is ALL the world to me!

Sometimes when we feel a storm brewing in the distance, it is a personal storm, a storm that comes to shake our own life, to shake our souls, to test our foundation and to give us the opportunity to rebuild what was weak.

I pray that if it is a personal storm coming into your life, you will be strong and ready. And if it is a different storm, a bigger storm, that we as Christians will have so much faith in God that others glorify our Father because of the strength and love they see in us.

If helps just one other person facing a storm then it has been used for his purpose. That song is beautiful thanks for posting it, and for your prayers. I feel it's a personal storm heading my way, but at the same time I cannot be blinded to the fact that there is also another storm on the horizon that we will all soon be facing, and we must all be prepared.

I thank God for letting me see that a storm is approaching, I know not when it will strike, but I know it's on the way, and I will be prepared for it, through his spirit I will find my strength and be able to stand strong against it.

Sometimes we see the storm approaching, I feel that is Gods way of letting us know we need to prepare, and be ready.

Other times the storm can hit suddenly, without warning, maybe God knows we already have what it is we need in order to face the sudden storms.

I thank him for knowing our needs, and making sure we are always prepared for the road that lies ahead.

We serve a most awesome God!!

Last night, during my worshipp period, I tried to pray! As I gazed into the Heavens in awe of God's might, there was something deep within me that I simply could not get out! I opend my mouth but no words came.

I was troubled, and all I could do was pray the prayer we pray when we don't want satan over hearing our prayer. All I could do was say: "Father, You know! And indeed He always does!

But then I came in nad saw the prayer you posted and it was the words that were buried so deep in me I could not pull them up. To me it was a confirmation from God saying: "See! You were right! I DO know!"

What an awesome priviledge and Blessing it is when God speaks to another through us. To someone else this may have said something different altogether! But I know what it said to me!

Thanks for following the Lead of the Holy Spirit, and posting this prayer!

thanks for the prayers! when we know others are praying for us it gives us such comfort, and peace of mind. I will stand strong because God is my strength See he already gave me the words I need to pray, he isn't going to let me go into this blindly. He is preparing me because he already knows what I need, not only that, he also knows what others around me need. He is so Awesome!

Yes when God speaks through us to each other it's so amazing, It's hard to find any words that could possibly describe it.

We must always praise him! For he is most worthy! and knows how to take care us so completely, I stand in such awe of his power, and all I can do right now is praise him for the work he is doing.

Feel free to save it, read it, and even pray it, whenever you need, also feel free to share it others. I feel that God wants us to share what he gives us with others. I see it even more clearly now, than ever before. especially since I posted this here. He doesn't want us to hide the things he gives us and keep it to ourselves. He wants us to share it freely so that all his children can benefit from it.
