10th Anniversary Ideas

I will be married 10 years this June and I wanted to start getting ideas and making plans to celebrate with my husband.

To those that don't know I have 3 kids, so we can't go too far or spend too much. We just want to do something kind of special to mark the 10th year.

With Valentines day approaching, I'm sure you guys have lots of ideas that would work for celebrating an anniversary.

If you ask my husband what I got him for our 10th anniversary, the only part he would remember, is that since we both had to work that day.....I wore a hand made button all day that stated "today is my 10th anniversary". He knew I thought about him all day, and included him in every part of my day, since we could not spend that day together. I still have the button and he smiles when he sees it as we clean and rearrange.

If there is any way you can get away for even just the night I would highly recommend it. We go on a trip ever year for our anniversary and it's great just to get away from the kids and focus on each other.

Getting away for a night would be heaven! I can count on one hand how many times we've done that in the last 10 years. I was thinking on how to make that possible, I would have to drive to my parents (about 400 miles) to drop them off. There is a nice city by my parents that we could go for a night on the town and stay, and that way the kids would be happy as well getting there own vacation.

A friend of mine booked the honeymoon suite in the hotel they stayed in on their wedding night so they stayed there again for their 10th anniversary. He even got his wife's wedding dress out and she wore it as they ate together in their suite.
