How does God reveal things to us by his spirit. Through the bible, gut feelings, and convictions? Can we also see God's spirit through others?

The Spirit of God is the Spirit of Christ. There are many ways of discerning what is the Spirit of Christ, and what is just part of our humanity. One way is to look at what are listed as the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians, where it says that the result of the Spirit in our lives is love, joy peace, gentleness, goodness, self control and some others which I have forgotten for the moment.

When you see people claiming to be acting in the Spirit of God, but whose behaviour contradicts the fruit of the Spirit, you can be pretty certain they have their wires crossed somewhere.

Gut feelings are certainly not enough. Very often God asks us to behave against our own desires, and against our gut feelings. What is important is to act as Christ would have acted in any given situation, and to speak as he would speak. The best way to find out about that is to read the gospels and learn as much about him as possible.

And yes, we can see the Spirit of God working in other people. Again, look for the fruit of the Spirit, and you have found God.

The Word of God is the only access that the Holy Spirit has to open up the things of God to the believer. Without the illumination of the Spirit into spiritual truth, the believer has no way to know the deep things of God.

SO far from the truth!

God speaks to us through the morel nature of humans

Romans 2:13-15
For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God's sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous. (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law

since they show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts now accusing, now even defending them.)

God speaks to us through nature

Romans 1: 19-20

since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

God even speaks to us through the events of our lives

Proverbs 24: 30-32

I went past the field of the sluggard,
past the vineyard of the man who lacks judgment;
thorns had come up everywhere,
the ground was covered with weeds,
and the stone wall was in ruins. I applied my heart to what I observed
and learned a lesson from what I saw:

Notice that I said "The deep things of God". Yes, I understand that by nature and by the things that are made we can understand God in His essence, but it is the deep things of God; those things that He has only revealved in this despensation that are now found in the completed Word of truth. It is the manifold wisdom of God that has been revealed in the manifestation of the church. It is even said by Christ himself that the Spirit has come to bear witness of Him, and the only way to know the Lord is by understanding those words that speak of him expressly- namely the Bible.
