CHAP. V.

But not to dwell upon ancient examples, let us come to the most
recent spiritual heroes.22 Let us take the noble examples furnished in
our own generation. Through envy and jealousy, the greatest and
most righteous pillars [of the Church] have been persecuted and put
to death.23 Let us set before our eyes the illustrious24 apostles. Peter,
through unrighteous envy, endured not one or two, but numerous
labours and when he had at length suffered martyrdom, departed to

the place of glory due to him. Owing to envy, Paul also obtained the
reward of patient endurance, after being seven times thrown into
captivity,25 compelled26 to flee, and stoned. After preaching both in
the east and west, he gained the illustrious reputation due to his faith,
having taught righteousness to the whole world, and come to the ex-
treme limit of the west,27 and suffered martyrdom under the pre-
fects.28 Thus was he removed from the world, and went into the holy
place, having proved himself a striking example of patience.

Notice that Clement said that Paul taught righteousness.

This is in stark contrast to what many modern Pastors teach about Paul.

This is somewhat understandable considering that if Peter, of the 12 who walked with Yahshua, who took the whole course of their Master's teachings, Peter, one of three, who were in the inner circle of their Master's students, who saw things that the other students didn't get to see. If Peter says that Paul's letters are difficult to understand, with all of Peter's knowledge, living in that culture, speaking the language, said that Paul's letters can be difficult to understand; you can be sure that 2000 years removed, Paul's letters can be difficult to understand.

(CLV) 2Pt 3:15
And be deeming the patience of our Lord salvation, according as our beloved brother Paul also writes to you, according to the wisdom given to him,

(CLV) 2Pt 3:16
as also in all the epistles, speaking in them concerning these things, in which are some things hard to apprehend, which the unlearned and unstable are twisting, as the rest of the scriptures also, to their own destruction.

When confronted by James, leader of the Ecclesia, in Acts21 Paul went to great lengths to prove that he was not teaching against the Law of YHWH.

(CLV) Ac 21:21
Now they were instructed concerning you that you teach all the Jews among the nations apostasy from Moses, telling them not to be circumcising their children, nor yet to be walking in the customs.

Contrary to what many modern Pastors teach, Clement further confirms that Paul was not an apostate.

(CLV) Ro 7:25
I thank God, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Consequently, then, I myself, with the mind, indeed, am slaving for God's law, yet with the flesh for Sin's law.

Contrary to what many modern Pastors teach, Paul was a slave to YHWH's law.

(CLV) Ac 24:14
"Yet I am avowing this to you, that, according to the way which they are terming a sect, thus am I offering divine service to the hereditary God, believing all that is written, according to the law and in the prophets,

Contrary to what many modern Pastors teach Paul did not lie in our heavenly Father's kadosh name.

Clement confirms that Paul honored our Father's kadosh Torah.
