  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

A Friend is a Friend Until

A friend is a friend until he isn’t, Until he cuts into your heart an incision, Until he murders you in mind, and in his soul, Until he leaves you brokenhearted, and not whole. A friend may be shallow and dismissive, Whose hidden desires come to the surface, For he can’t hold them back now...

    Scared

And to be honest I’m just scared I’m so afraid and scared but judas was too. I don’t want to repent for...

I was reading Luke 22 today....

I was reading Luke 22 today, and there was verse 22: "And truly the Son of man goeth, as it was determined: but woe unto that man by whom he is betrayed!" Now the one who betrayed Jesus is Judas. As i was meditating on this, this thought came to mind: Did Judas commit the unforgivable sin?

Judas Iscariot and a question or two about free will

Would Judas be an example of those who will have his part in the lake of fire? It seems obvious but I have wondered if Judas will be saying that he was there with Jesus and has prophesied in His name and have done good works like in Matthew 7:21-23? Would he also be an example of the free will...

    Is Judas Iscariot saved?

I know this is a tough one. People would want to have revenge if a close associate betrayed them, but Jesus would just turn the other cheek. Judas followed Christ throughout his ministry, was considered one of the twelve close disciples. In Matthew 19:28 Jesus tells the disciples that they...
