  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The Devil and His Role in Music and Beyond

I prayed today. I asked God for clarity. He rather quickly opened my eyes to the bitter reality of a fallen world corrupted to the bone by the Devil. I have come to the conclusion that entertainment is Satan's counterfeit of Christian joy, and that the industry of such is Satan's tool to bring...

    His Anointing Teaches You

“These things I have written to you concerning those who are trying to deceive you. As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it...

    Divine Appointments

I am reading in Acts 8. I will summarize some and quote some. This was after the stoning of Stephen. Saul, who later became Paul, was in hearty agreement with putting him to death. And Saul began ravaging the church, entering house after house. And dragging off people, he would put them in...

Things Which You Do Not Know

“Then the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the second time, while he was still confined in the court of the guard, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord who made the earth, the Lord who formed it to establish it, the Lord is His name, “Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and...

    The Holy Spirit

There are some people, some who preach the Scriptures, who believe that the only way that we can hear from God is through the written word of God in the 66 books of the Bible (Genesis to Revelation). And so if you were to say, “God said to me,” or “God showed me,” or “God led me to,” they would...

The Spirit of Truth, Our Only Guide to Knowing All Things.

The Words of Jesus About the Holy Spirit Jesus spoke clearly about the coming of the Holy Spirit and the role He would have in the lives of those who believe. In John 14:26 (NKJV), Jesus said, “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things...

    The True Meaning of Easter

Dear Friends in Christ, As we approach the season of Passover, we are reminded of the profound connection between these two celebrations and the fulfillment of God's divine plan through Jesus Christ. Passover, a Jewish festival commemorating the deliverance of Israel from Egyptian bondage...

    Power Belongs to God

“Once God has spoken; Twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God; And lovingkindness is Yours, O Lord, For You recompense a man according to his work.” (Psalms 62:11-12 NASB’95) Does God still speak to his people? To those who believe in Jesus Christ with God-persuaded and God-gifted...

My spirit, personality, and identity got messed up after this strange experience. What should I do?

Around two years ago, I was in a bad place in life and I was trying to find ways to improve myself and I got into self improvement content. Ever since last year, I would have doubts that I would become the person that I was meant to be. I would be having these negative thoughts about people...

    Questions about the Spirit

In the NT, after the resurrection of Jesus, the Holy Spirit seemed to be active. Do you think that the Spirit is as active today? The reason I am asking, is that Paul, in Romans, seems to describing a situation where in the Spirit was actively guiding the actions of the believers, leading them...

AI Discussion #2 - part 2 ( Differences between the Old and New Testament)

December 8, 2024 at 10:29 AM You said: So, we can see that God's Holy Spirit was at work through humans and animals to have physical manifestations and miracles done in the Old Testament, but it is only in the New Testament that we see the Holy Spirit's invisible miracle work of being born...

He is Pouring Out His Spirit

“Be glad, O children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God, for he has given the early rain for your vindication; he has poured down for you abundant rain, the early and the latter rain, as before. “The threshing floors shall be full of grain; the vats shall overflow with...

    Setting the Right Example

“You know what kind of men we proved to be among you for your sake. And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you received the word in much affliction, with the joy of the Holy Spirit, so that you became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and in Achaia. For not only has the...

In Words Taught by the Spirit

“Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. What No Eye Has Seen

“But, as it is written, ‘What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him’— these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. For who knows a person's thoughts...

    Lord, Move Me

October 16, 2011: I have been reading in Ephesians for my quiet times with the Lord the past few days. The main thing that is standing out to me from this reading is how Paul made such a point to remind the church of how they used to live when they followed the ways of this world and the ruler...
