  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    My Soul Thirsts for God

“O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary, beholding your power and glory. Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips...

When You Have Done the Will of God

“But remember the former days, when, after being enlightened, you endured a great conflict of sufferings, partly by being made a public spectacle through reproaches and tribulations, and partly by becoming sharers with those who were so treated. For you showed sympathy to the prisoners and...

    An Effectual Doer

“But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror; for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of...

    Do Not Refuse God

“See to it that you do not refuse Him who is speaking. For if those did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less will we escape who turn away from Him who warns from heaven.” (Hebrews 12:25 NASB1995) Without going into all the history behind this, this is a warning...

    Run With Endurance

“Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set...

The Arrogant Have Forged a Lie

“You have dealt well with Your servant, O Lord, according to Your word. Teach me good discernment and knowledge, For I believe in Your commandments. Before I was afflicted I went astray, But now I keep Your word. You are good and do good; Teach me Your statutes. The arrogant have forged a lie...

That Which Produces Reverence for God

“Teach me, O Lord, the way of Your statutes, And I shall observe it to the end. Give me understanding, that I may observe Your law And keep it with all my heart. Make me walk in the path of Your commandments, For I delight in it. Incline my heart to Your testimonies And not to dishonest gain...

    Not By Sight

Walk by faith, and not by sight. Let not your faith take a flight. Walk with Jesus every day, Doing all that He doth say. Follow Jesus where He leads. Daily on His Word do feed. Be His witness, share the truth With all living so uncouth. Share the gospel with, as well, Those who seem are...

The Harlot is a Deep Pit

“Give me your heart, my son, And let your eyes delight in my ways. For a harlot is a deep pit And an adulterous woman is a narrow well. Surely she lurks as a robber, And increases the faithless among men.” (Proverbs 23:26-28 NASB1995) So many people today who have professed faith in Jesus...

    Follow Him

    The Law versus God's Commandments

“For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ But if you bite and devour one another, take...

    To All Who Obey Christ

“Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered. And having been made perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation.” (Hebrews 5:8-9 NASB1995) This is speaking of Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, the second person of our...

    We Must Press On!

We live in a day and time when being a “Christian” appears to be based primarily (or largely) on a verbal confession of Christ as Savior, but without any requirements at all for a changed life, or very loose requirements, at best. If one has made that confession of faith in Jesus Christ they are...

Holding Fast The Word of Life

“Do all things without grumbling or disputing; so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that in the day of...

If You Continue in The Faith

    Our Spiritual Service of Worship

“Come, let us worship and bow down, Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. For He is our God, And we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand. Today, if you would hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts, as at Meribah, As in the day of Massah in the wilderness, When your...

    To Those Who Love God

“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Do You Hear Him Calling?

Based off Hebrews 3:7-14 Do you hear Him calling to you? Do you hear Him say, “Forsake your sins, follow Jesus, Do without delay”? Do you hear His warnings to you? Do you hear Him tell, “If you harden hearts against Me You’ll end up in hell”? “Do not try Me like the others, Thinking I will...
