  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Chaplet of the Little Crown for Marian Debates

So I've started my Mother of God debate, and also have a minor debate on Mary as the Mother of all believers. I'm going to say a Chaplet of the Little Crown for both of these, both for myself and all other involved in these debates. Fellow-Catholics are more than welcome to offer-up their own...

    Why Mary is Our Mother.

In my Sola Scriptura debate, someone stated that Sola Scripture isn't about interpreting Scripture, and I responded that, that's exactly what happened to me, that I pulled up a Catholic proof-text, and someone immediately responded, not these exact words, but to the effect of: No, no, no, it...

Why Protestants should call Mary, the Mother of God.

Disclaimer: I am not a Theologian, and do not speak for the Catholic Church. I am merely a layman, here to evangelize, and and to state the obvious, the Our Lady bore God the Son in her womb and gave birth to Him, who is God. Our Lady truly is the Mother of God, and to deny that inevitably leads...

    Reinforcements needed...

I'm currently engaging in a Sola Scriptura debate. However, tomorrow, I won't be available on CF, because I have other things to do. I'd like people to fill-in for me while I'm away, I already have thecolorsblend helping me out. Go here, to join the debate: The Bible is not a Catechetical Book...

    Nine Days!!!

Today, I have started my novenas (nine days of prayer) for my up-coming Sola Scriptura debate this October. So for any of you Protestants, how stumble across this, GET READY! As for my fellow Catholics, I am mainly asking for your prayers, but I would also really appreciate my fellow-apologist...

    A Challenge to Protestants!

It appears that some Protestants are attacking the OBOB Forum (I think it has something to do with something happening in the Denomination-Specific Theology sub-forum, since I've seen these same threads on that sub-forum) I'd like to point all Protestants who want to debate Catholic Doctrine...
