Hi! I'm back.

Hello. It looks like I'm in here as "HisLamb", even though when I tried to come on, I had to re-register as "Still HisLamb". Well, whichever name comes up, it's still me. It's been a long time since I have had a computer to come here. About a year and a half. Alot has changed in...

    A question on doctrine

Our parish church has had a non-Catholic music director for quite a number of years. I think she is Episcopalian, but not 100% sure. My SIL ran into her the other day, and this woman told my SIL that she has left her position as music director because our pastor found out that she...

    A Tolkein Quote

"Out of the darkness of my life, so much frustrated, I put before you the one great thing to love on earth, the Blessed Sacrament. There you will find romance, glory, honor, fidelity, and the one true way of all your loves on earth, and more than that." J.R.R. Tolkien

    A confused prayer

Well, I have a dilemma. Without going into everything, because it's a very long story, if I pray for what I think will be best for me, it may not be best for others who would be affected. Of course, it might be best for them. I just don't know! So, I guess I'm asking...

    Cancer

A neighbor of ours, a wonderful man named Ken, has been fighting cancer in one form or another for years. Now it seems to have spread to where there is no hope. But being Christians, we believe in hope. I ask for prayers for him. That he will either be healed, or that God...

    The Four Last Things

We had a great homily today on the Parable of the ten virgins and their oil lamps. In it, the priest spoke of the four last things: Death, Judgement, Heaven and Hell. He spoke of praying for a happy death. I was just wondering how many of you pray daily/nightly...

    I'm appalled!

In reading a book from CHSS that I'm studying, The Privilege of Being Catholic, on page 153 it is mentioned that a young girl was on a public bus silently saying a rosary. She was made to put it away. This was reported in a magazine. Unfortunately, the name...

You all may have seen this before. I received it in e-mail awhile ago and saved it. I felt moved to post it here today. Hope you enjoy. THE GEESE AND THE SNOWSTORM There was once a man who did not believe in either the virgin birth of Christ or the spiritual meaning behind it, and was...

    Praise Report!

If you remember, I asked for prayers awhile ago for a man named Larry who was having surgery for prostate cancer. Well, Larry is home and it's looking good! He will still need testing, as anyone with this does, but for now, he's doing fine. Praise God, and thanks to all who prayed for him!

To All the Great Catholic Apologists on This Forum

Being a "cradle Catholic", I've always loved our Church. I admit to having problems with some of the teachings in the past. Mostly with not understanding the "whys" of those teachings. Finding out the "whys" and where they come from is a wonderful eye-opener! I just wanted to post this...

    To the Converts to Catholicism
