The bloke who wrote that letter is obviously a heathen, everyone knows Rugby is the official religion of New Zealand.

    If evolution was true...

Hi, I normally lurk here because of all the good science news, I thought this article from today's Sydney Morning herald may add to this topic. Is it the scratchy sand? Does the glare induce headaches? Is it the heat and the flies? Whatever the reason, scientists have discovered many...

    Good News For Creationism

Personally I think the The Blount County Board of Education needs to adopt a more democratic voting system. No Board of Directors of a Corporation would pass a motion with only 2 votes for out of 7. They should have a minimum quorum of 50% for a motion to be passed.

    dinosaurs and the bible

"Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox. Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly. He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together. His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are...

Did Dr dino admit evolution? A question to scientists...

It sounds to me that Dr Dino advocates some form of 'Super-Evolution', well beyond what biologists advocate with TOE.

    Why is there a universe?

    10) If so, how do you change energy into matter? Plants do this all the time.

    microevolution versus macroevolution

In regards to dogs, are the Great Dane and the Chihuahua seperate species or the same ? I'm no expert on dog anatomy, but surely they're incapable of breeding naturally.

Evolution is science, YEC is a religion

One thing I've noticed so far is that when some YEC's want to put down Evolution they do so by calling it a "faith" or "religion" ie. comparing Evolution to their own faith is insulting to Evolution.

    Just the Facts please!

Einstein said this famous quote in reference to Quantum Theory and the Uncertainty Principle, he did not like the idea that a partical's path can only be determined as a probability, not as an absolute. Einstein went on to win a Nobel prize for his contributions to Quantum Theory, but 60 years...

This says it all about AiG

I think you'll find that the Library of Alexandria was founded @295 BCE, not very likely that Moses studied there.

This says it all about AiG

Depends on your denomination, for Catholics a literal interpretation isn't necessary.

    Evolution vs Christianity WHY?

According to Genesis 1:23-27 Man was created on the 6th day, but according to Genesis 2:7 Man was created on the 3rd day. Which should be taken literally ?

    Cloning extinct species.

The last Thylacine died in the 1936. I'll post this link from the Australian Museum, it has some interesting stuff on the animal and the cloning debate. http://www.austmus.gov.au/thylacine/credit.htm

    Cloning extinct species.

In the case of the Thylacine, they're gone because humans kept shooting them, bullets are not natural selection. So to bring them back using genetic engineering would be setting the record straight IMO. There would probably be a problem with them attacking sheep which the farmers won't like...

    Cloning extinct species.

Well I have to say I'm in favour. In Australia we have many introduced species that are pests but survive very well because there are no natural preditors. If for instance the Thylacine (Tassie Tiger) could be brought back from extinction, it could prove to be a solution to the control...

So Pope John Paul II and the vatican are misintererpreting the bible because they've accepted the evidence in favour of evolution ?

    Is Jesus the second man?

It may help if you're aware that "Adam" is Hebrew for "Man" or "Mankind", if you reread the verses substituting Mankind for Adam, things might make a bit more sense, especially if you think of Mankind as a species. Even biblical scholars don't agree on whether Adam should be a common or...
