  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    Stop sinning #2

In that case, the ones NOT walking in discipleship are NOT saved. If one chooses to rebel against discipleship, there is no manifestation of having been saved. Our discipleship is because of our rebirth. Those not born of God will not walk in discipleship, as their old nature precludes it. It...

    Stop sinning #2

OK then, belief without discipleship is unproven belief. Men can say they are saved all they want, but if the discipleship is absent, you gotta ask 'What are you saved from?".

    Stop sinning #2

Belief without action is unproven belief.

Rapture began with the elderly, and now Paul has also been raptured

Scripture says the dead in Christ will be raised first, at the return of Jesus with His flaming angels. (1 Thes 4:6)

    Stop sinning #2

All that or you could just really repent of sin...permanently. That makes you an ex-sinner.

    A Minyan at Ephesus?

Can't say for sure if there was any reason to illustrate twelve than to prove again that the water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of past sins was not replaced by the baptism of the Holy Spirit. They went hand-in-hand together.

    How to "Abide" in Christ

Because they still committed iniquity...as the verse says.

    How to "Abide" in Christ

The point of my phrase..."So I guess that obedience to God IS legalism." was an effort to differentiate between those who act like obedience to God is some anti-Christ method of self salvation and those who by the Spirit of God adhere to the doctrine of Godliness. Our obedience can be labeled...

    The God of Yeshurun

Yo, BT, Totally uplifting words...thanks. BYW, you do know that "straight" and "strait" have different meanings, right?

    How to "Abide" in Christ

So I guess that obedience to God IS legalism. I'm OK with men putting labels on things like that, knowing it has no effect on the eventual outcome of any man's judgement. No men except those who shun obedience in favor of wrapping themselves in mans wisdom. It is written..."He that saith, I know...

How many of God's children will hear "well done" on the last day?

All of them. God's children do as their Father desires, all the time. Grape vines cannot produce figs.

    Is This A Lie?

Yes, it is against the rules. OK, and thanks for the invite, but your intent seems to be to adhere to the misinterpretation of 1 John 1:10 and other scriptures used by some to accommodate sinning. I'll leave the PMs to you.

    Is This A Lie?

I wasn't happy living in sin, so I started asking God for a way out of all my debauchery. He answered with a man who led me to the real church. They told me about life without sin, and I accepted it with joy. I was freed from sin by the grace of God. If that doesn't suit you, so be it. If we...

    Is This A Lie?

So your adherence to the Law is hypocritical? Or are you just adhering to part or parts of the Law? We are "still here" to manifest the kingdom of God on earth. We walk in the light, and have had ALL our past sins washed away by the blood of Christ. (1 John 1:7)

    Is This A Lie?

She wasn't married when she got pregnant. As you are so in love with a dead Law, wouldn't you have stoned Mary? I'm just using that as an extension to your adherence to the dead customs of a dead covenant. As the NT scripture says..."Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats...

    Is This A Lie?

It is written..."Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: For it is sanctified by...

    Is This A Lie?

God used foods to illustrate people. If God says the food is OK, then the people must also be OK. God said to Peter..."And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.' (Acts 10:15) If the foods were still unclean they wouldn't have been used...

Poll on salvation. Eternal security (osas) vs. works and grace are both required.

That was the perfect phrase..."in real time". I personally realize Paul is speaking from a prior perspective in much of Rom 7, a perspective of his past life in sin while failing to adhere to the Law. Paul does add "clues" about his changing perspectives with verse 5..."When we were in the...
