Word-based denomination should be separated from charismatic ones. But I guess the line is blurry, as you said many denominations claim to be word based. I have come to realise the situation. Thank you:)

Roman Catholics practice stuff not prescribed in the Holy Scripture, in addition, they have their own bible. The Lutheran church in my area has close connection with the Catholic church. Thanks:)

I believe gifts are not dead. I believe in gifts of teaching, mercy, etc. These gifts are quantifiable. They benefit the church and those in need.
