Is the kingdom of heaven in our universe?

This is good stuff. That's really all I can say. It smacks of truth.

Here's a likeable thread: name one thing - about a denomination other than your own - that you like

Great thread. Mine is... Catholicism. Because it was the first attempt at uniting Christians into a global power. And let's admit it, Christianity is a global power right now. That's why people hate it. People hate anything that is popular because that's just how they are.

Is freewill real or just something we invented it ?

As a man who spent much of his life trying to be a Casanova, sometimes succeeding and mostly failing, I can tell you, based on my experiences with women, free will exists.

Is the kingdom of heaven in our universe?

I don't know man, the Universe is a pretty big place. What's stopping God from placing it in a different galaxy? Heck, we don't even have the ability to send a satellite to Mars at the right speed, how are we gonna end up discovering an elusive Heaven FROM ANOTHER GALAXY?

God’s Wrath Poured Out on Jesus on the Cross

Dude thank you, I'll definitely look into that. I really will. (Not sarcasm) This topic have always messed with my head since I discovered it. And it's HARD.

God’s Wrath Poured Out on Jesus on the Cross

This goes to what your purpose in life is. Firstly, myself, I'm a philosopher, so it's my job to tackle these big questions. God's existence, morality, metaphysics, Theistic evolution, and on and on. For other people who are less inclined to "waste" their time studying those things, they...

God’s Wrath Poured Out on Jesus on the Cross

In your view, you believe our flesh is a part of us? This is a very big topic. I believe the biggest proponents of the "soul is in the body" were Eastern mystics, but that does not mean we Christians cannot adopt that interpretation. We are not our muscles and we are not our heads. Our identity...

God’s Wrath Poured Out on Jesus on the Cross

So you are an absolutist in morality? What about context and intent? I want everyone to keep in mind that there is more to Christianity than just the Bible. To some, that may come as a shock. But think of scholars and theologians for a second, the kind of people where they must deal with...

God’s Wrath Poured Out on Jesus on the Cross

If this is the case, the proper phrasing should be "God poured his wrath towards the sin on Jesus's fleshly body." Not "God poured his wrath on Jesus." It must've been a slip of words by the pastor.

God’s Wrath Poured Out on Jesus on the Cross

Hi. Again, late in this discussion, but I read this post. I really do have to speak against this. Look at Christ's life. He went out of his way to redeem sinners, basically the low-lifes of His time. I will not speak about whether or not it is good to justify immorality by claiming to be under...

God’s Wrath Poured Out on Jesus on the Cross

I'm incredibly late here but I gotta ask... Is that what your preacher said? Can you try to recall, with the best of your memory, what he really said? That's stupid. It's like level one logical fallacy. Thank goodness he's a pastor and not a theologian. Perhaps it was just bad wording, but if...

Any well-documented miracles POST Bible times?

You have to understand the context here. He did frequent heavy squatting before world class weightlifters squatted. His training program that he invented himself was emulated, like I said, by state-of-the-art weightlifting programs in many countries that produced champions in the Olympic arena...

Any well-documented miracles POST Bible times?

How's that a miracle? Atheists getting schooled by Christian thinkers is a daily occurrence. I schooled my atheist friend and he was mentally dedicated to maintaining his anti-theistic worldview, so he simply told me I had the vibes of a cult leader. There is a reason Mister Dawkins refuses to...

Can I have 2 please? Anything. Something to look up.

Any well-documented miracles POST Bible times?

Look, we're all Christians here. God has worked miracles in our lives, but I'm asking for something big. Something that became a sensation throughout the world. And also something that was generally accepted among reputable sources that it, in fact, truly happened. What do we got? The only one...

What are some nonnegotiable NEVERS when it comes to living a Christian life?

As in Church? I've attended a church before. I can always go back to it. It's been a while. It's Saturday midnight right now, so tomorrow at Sunday I can attend depending on what they allow due to the pandemic. Hopefully you won't recommend a church that is different from the one I have...

What are some nonnegotiable NEVERS when it comes to living a Christian life?

I've done that before. Are you saying I must be baptized as well? I've already accepted Christ into my life, and I do believe I have a relationship with him. I pray everyday, often times more than once.

What are some nonnegotiable NEVERS when it comes to living a Christian life?

1 Corinthians is in the New Testament, correct? And here, is it saying that it is IDEAL to live an unmarried and sexless life? I'm talking about verse 8. And then at 9, is He saying that getting married in and of itself is a COMPROMISE? Thank you.

What are some nonnegotiable NEVERS when it comes to living a Christian life?

Please quote me some Bible passages that support what you are saying.

What are some nonnegotiable NEVERS when it comes to living a Christian life?

I'm sorry what? So you're saying people who have sex outside of marriage don't love each other? Excuse me but am I reading this correctly? So, somehow, when a boyfriend and a girlfriend officially get married, the kind of sex that they have from that point on are now officially REAL LOVE as...
