    Ignored by people at church

Does this church have small groups? This will be a much easier way for people get to know you if you aren't very outgoing/ have trouble putting yourself out there. Small groups are structured to build close bonds, so I would check into joining one of those. If you find that you are still being...

    Today

Today is a full and exciting Friday. I'll be editing my boyfriend's master's thesis, finishing corrections on my thesis, finishing up some self-assigned reading on globalization, grilling burgers for dinner, and then meeting up with some friends to play Pokemon Go downtown (once it cools off--...

What do you do to make your life meaningful? (Been feeling useless)

Do what all believers are called to do: be Christ to those around you. What that looks like may take some exploration, but you have to start somewhere. I fear that too many people sit around waiting for God to reveal their purpose to them when it is already laid out in Scripture. Look for...

    What career are you pursuing?

A person's twenties are the time where most of us try to determine what it is we are going to do with the rest of our lives. What are all of you planning on doing for the next few decades of your existence? What are you doing to prepare yourself for that type of work? Feel free to share...

    Apologetics books

Tim Keller is one of my favorites. His understanding of the way faith and culture interact with one another is something I haven't found in other apologetic texts.

    Favorite Theology Books

I suppose my replies depend on what you would consider theology texts verses apologetic texts. Systematic Theology is a staple of Christian theological texts. My other choices could potentially put under the umbrella of apologetics, rather than theology. However, the arguments presented in them...

What's the best tasting coffee in your opinion ?

I drink my coffee black. In the morning, I like a lighter roast, usually Latin American beans. Bright with high acidity and a nice boost from the caffeine. If I'm drinking some for an after dinner treat, it would be a dark French roast. The best I've had were Ethiopian beans, if I recall correctly.

    Modest Dress

I typically cover up my body from my collar bone to my mid-thigh. I'm not a huge fan of showing my shoulders, but I make exceptions when working out. On an average, casual day I wear mid-length shorts or jeans and a fitted t-shirt. If I'm required to be more presentable, I try to go for what I...

    No friends and almost 30

This is, unfortunately, one of the things a lot of people struggle with after leaving school (whether that is college or high school). A lot of the friends we make in those institutions are because the environment suits the way human beings bond. You are made to be next to each other, in the...

What social media sites do you use?

I suppose I'm a stereotypical millennial in that I use most of the popular social media sites on a semi-regular basis. Facebook is for staying in touch with high school friends or friends from undergrad. Twitter is for academic networking. Tumblr is for exploring personal thoughts and for...

    Hello all!

Greetings to everyone! I spent a lot of time on this forum when I was a teenager and met a lot of people with whom I am still friends. My life has taken a lot of twists and turns in the past decade, but I've decided to come back and rejoin in the conversation about God and faith once again. As...
