I have a NIV Bible for personal use, but I read NLT on my phone with the Bible app when I'm on the go. I would ultimately recommend the NLT for someone who has recently come to Jesus because it gives the person a way of understanding what the scripture means.

Hi! I'm Jennifer, and I joined this forum a couple days ago. :) I'm a non-denominational Christian currently going to a Lutheran church that my mom works at.

I grew up saying "Come lord Jesus, be our guest, and let these gifts to us be blessed." My family hasn't been praying before meals lately; I think it was due to the fact we had to get rid of our table when we moved to an apartment from a house.
