How to deal with anti Catholicism

Give it right back to them - to their faces. Anti-CatholicS don't understand respect or decorum. Most of my 12 siblings left the Church for various Evangelical churches and some of them did the same thing to me. Unfortunately, I didn't know my faith very well so they did it for years. I finally...

75% of Catholics think abortion is okay?

Good - then you know that Jesus and His Church are ONE, nullifying your statement: Originally Posted by Rebekka God isn't the church.

Acts 9:4-5 He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” “Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked. “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied. Jesus (God) and His Church cannot be separated.

Are women supposed to keep silence in church?

As I state before - Angels have only taken on corporal form to bring God's message to man - never to satisfy their own base, sexual urges. Angels in heaven don't have sex because they are non-corporeal. NOTHING imperfect can enter heaven (Rev. 21:27) so the case for horny angels in heaven is...

Are women supposed to keep silence in church?

Angels are Non-Corporeal beings. Never, in ALL of Scripture do angels ever appear to man for anything other than relating God's message. Sorry but, horny "angels" don't make the cut . . .

Are women supposed to keep silence in church?

Ummm . . . that's because the Church is the BRIDE of Christ (Eph. 5:25-27, John 3:29, Rev. 19:7-9, Rev. 21:2, Rev. 21:9). There ends the lesson.

“The most powerful abortifacient in America is poverty.”

You're absolutely correct - we aren't Sola Scriptura because that is a false doctrine. However, the Church teaches that Biblical teachings are either explicitly taught - or IMPLICITLY taught. The prohibition against the killing of an unborn child is implicitly taught in Exodus 21:22-25. As I...

    Children Belong at Mass, Too!

I don't have a problem with Children's Liturgies. I have a problem with people not properly teaching their children reverence and behavior during the Mass. Children's masses are nice but a child shouldn't have to attend one to understand reverence for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

    Children Belong at Mass, Too!

Wrong. My mother taught us about the mass and exactly what was going on. She wasn't lazy and she didn't need to show us how to pretend. I could't wait until my First Communion so that I could fully participate in the Mass. Man, it's no wonder why you have the heterodox outlook that you...

“The most powerful abortifacient in America is poverty.”

WRONG. You have to read the entire passage in CONTEXT. Verses 23-25 state: “But if there is serious injury, you are to take life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound, bruise for bruise.” These verses are saying that...

    Children Belong at Mass, Too!

Ummm . . . or how about just teaching your children about reverence during Mass? My mother took the time to drive that point home with all 13 of her children. We needn't pander to them - we need to teach them.

    Children Belong at Mass, Too!

I couldn't agree more. Children are a blessing at Mass - and should be involved. However, parents need to exercise good judgement when their children are disruptive and take them outside for a while when this happens so as not to interfere with the congregation's prayerful meditation.

“The most powerful abortifacient in America is poverty.”

Again - tell me how my position is caricaturized. Tell me where I am extreme or judgmental or lack compassion. People who support abortion love to toss that word around (compassion) but only for the mother. They never seem to get around to having any compassion for the innocent victim - the...

“The most powerful abortifacient in America is poverty.”

Technically, they are not synonyms - but that particular procedure is done only on late-term children. As I stated earlier some leading doctors in the AMA consider this to be as early as 20 weeks from the last menstrual period.

Funny that you didn't list anything I have said as being misrepresentative of the Pro Life cause. Just the same old uber-Liberal, anti-life drivel. You keep biting your tongue and rolling your eyes and letting babies be slaughtered without saying so much as a word against it. I'll do what I...

“The most powerful abortifacient in America is poverty.”

The American Medical Association deems that partial birth (late term) abortion is NEVER necessary to save the life of the mother. The AMA doesn't even recognize this procedure as a genuine surgical procedure. they officially endorsed the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act in Congress. From the...
