    What's the difference between...

Maybe the difference is growing up? When you're young you are maybe given the convictions, but you struggle with them, maybe don't follow them. When you later do your convictions, you have reached them often by this accompanied happy feeling? Either by having the happy feeling before you start...

    What's the difference between...

Yeah, and I think it's very important we learn to live with both. But still, I think the latter would be a better thing to live with. eg. I think morality is unbound to our feelings: We do things we should because we see it should be done, and because by facts. But still I would be happier(not...

    What's the difference between...

I mean. When you believe something strongly, you are happy with your conviction, and it drives you forward and it gives you life. But when you don't, your life can be a struggle and you just feel you might loosing it, and you don't know where yo go perhaps. What is the consequesens of this...

A Philosophy to end all Philosophies...

Thwingly, You got me wrong. I was never saying we're not philosophing, or that we shouldn't. I was rather contradicting the first post, wanting to say some rational philosophing should rather be toned down. That Hume meant we are philosophicly kids, not philosophicly non-existent. I agree with...

A Philosophy to end all Philosophies...

Haven't read that much of Hume yet, but I feel his work is more like, and meant like, reminding us that we're all philosophicly kids. Than that we are to stop philosophing. Hume is philosophic giant. According to my university professors he's one of the absolute most important today.

    The Real Qestion is ...

Not often? Does it stand somewhere in the bible or New Testament that we shouldn't think on ethics for ourself ? Although not thinking for ourself has brought up some horrid unreflected acts through some totalitarian regimes.

    The Real Qestion is ...

On 'God' and 'why', I agree it's a strong connection there. If you ask 'why are we here?' we're presuming a reason, or will. On Ethics, I think it's very important that we all think for ourself too.

    The Real Qestion is ...

Undoubtly a rational genious.. I've read through his main work Ethics once, but I had, not so suprisingly, a hard time understanding that much. Luckily it's put forwards into propositions, what almost can be called as 'quotes'. Yeah, maybe he's a strong contender against that...

    The Real Qestion is ...

WS: :D Philosophy was always funny. Something like that... I was saying 'fellow spinoza quoter' because I've searched up Spinoza to see what people had to say about him, and you were one of those. I've done it too. So that's why ;) Have you read his work? Just the way it's put up is...
