i supose thats also sinful in some ways, if it sings about lust or treating woman as sexual toys the answer is obviously do not support it. i also find it difficult to decide wether a song in sinful or not, i would say, take your knowledge of whats sinful for yourself to do and inspect the song...

I dont believe any music is sinfull unless it blasphemes or offends God. I asked a similar question on ask a chaplin forum, the advice i got was to trust your Christian guidence. Then again we are reminded to do everything to the glory of God. If music helps you with that then i dont see any...

im unsure of what epistemology is so i guess i havnt come across that yet.the class does seem to be attcking God on many levels, but the idea of God always gets the uper hand in the end. i think its down to people's ignorence and refusel to accept these ideas that fuels the arguments against Him.

how can Catholics be classed as original when they too are a result of a split, namely the Great Schism?

when i first posted this thread i wasn't expecting a striaght forward answer, and clearly there isn't one. i can see there are many disagreements between Protestants and the RCC and even between people within the same group. Since we are mearly humans the question as to which is the right church...

i get what you are saying, in this case, aslong as you have accepted Jesus as your saviour what ever group you belong to, this should grant you enternal life in Heaven after death. Even if it does flow through the Catholic Church i see it makes no difference to our salvation. would you agree?

if this is so, and the Church used to be one, doesn't that mean there is no salvation outside Christianity as a whole? since this was said before the split.

sorry i didn't mean mean at war, i aknowledge the moral conflict between the two. would you that we are both on the "rightious" path then?

thanks i will consider it but what do you mean by strawmen? i understand what you are saying but if we end up in the same place (presumably Heaven) then does it matter about the theological differences in your view? to put it another way, if both sides are saved, then whats the ongoing conflict...

I see thankyou. if i could get back to the question of why do you think it is so hard to unite Protestants and Catholics? If someone offered any of you the chance to be at peace with the other, would you say no?
