    Why two SDA forums?

Guess some people in the past wanted it because they couldnt deal with differences. The strange thing is that the traditional forum is largely inactive. So it was pointless. Interestingly enough. This necessity to split is not present on other forums.

    Still divided?

So you feel that everyone has to speak the same language? Your language? SDAs are a worldwide movement.

    Still divided?

Completely agree. I glance on here from time to time to see if this nonsense is over, but I guess not. Not a good witness at all.

    Consistency and Religious Liberty

Hey everyone. Please share your position on this matter. How is support for the 'defense of marriage' movement consistent with our standards and our understanding of what Scripture teaches regarding religious liberty? Consistency and Religious Liberty **** Religious liberty, as I...

Yes, I am in support of a Sabbath-keepers forum.

    Politics

Yes, at least some of them came to the light and ceased their enslavement of othe human beings. As for Jefferson, I walked the grounds of his university and anyone can see the dungeon type areas where the slaves were kept on the Lawn. One of my dorm was on a slave graveyard. Jefferson's Bible...

    Politics

I lean Libertarian but haven't really followed the whole Tea Party movement. However, that piece posted is disturbing. "Barack" is unamerican? Just disgusting. So one must have a European name to be American? It's fine for them to have their names but not others? I guess some people will not...

    Please explain

Good question. I really see no reason for the separation. It is as though Adventists are political parties or something. I find myself jumping between both forums to read topics. It's not really a good witness. We should grow together. But I don't come on here much. I did end up finding a normal...

    Sabbath question from seeker

Question: Is this an area for debate from other branches of Christianity? It seems as though the individual that asked the question was seeking an SDA perspective. With all the back and forth, did they ever come back?

    What day did they gather???

Not sure what that verse have to do with keeping the Sabbath. Just like those in this verse, SDAs often gather on other days of the week as well as preach and teach on other days. We simply believe that we should keep God's commandments, including the Sabbath. The Sabbath is far more than just...

Has the time come to unite Traditional & Progressive Seventh Day Adventists

Wow...interesting. Hopefully people can move past that now.

Has the time come to unite Traditional & Progressive Seventh Day Adventists

So if they are here, then I don't see why rules would or should exclude them. SDA Christianity is a worldwide movement. It's really not a denomination, as that is more so an accepted label over time, but again, a movement. Adventism isn't just either like this or like that, and there is no one...

Has the time come to unite Traditional & Progressive Seventh Day Adventists

It makes no such assumption, as nothing of the sort was stated at all. Second, who said formers would be excluded? What is being said is that there isn't really a need for a specific place for formers within the SDA forum itself, not that they would be excluded. Why would there such a place...

Yea, I'd like to invite some people to this forum...but certainly not as it is.

Has the time come to unite Traditional & Progressive Seventh Day Adventists

Well, that's just it. Those labels really have no place within the faith. There are many former members of all sorts of faiths. Former Muslims, former Catholics, former Hindus, former Lutherans etc. Different people feel different ways upon leaving their former faiths, SDA not excluded. Former...

Destiny of former SDAs -- Heaven or Hell?

Well said. In fact, I believe a majority of SDAs in general would acknowledge that possibility.

Destiny of former SDAs -- Heaven or Hell?

Interesting. The thread title and initial post seemed very general. Anyway, my answer would still be the same because it goes to the issue, whether some would acknowledge that or not.

Has the time come to unite Traditional & Progressive Seventh Day Adventists

So how long are people going to hang on to that occurrence? I suppose that not being here has much to do with my perception, but I still find the serious disagreements as no reason to split the forum into groups that are not officially recognized within our faith.

Has the time come to unite Traditional & Progressive Seventh Day Adventists

That's my honest opinion...whether you choose to view it as judgmental or not. Thetraditional/progressive labels that some prefer to place upon people can be seen as judgmental as well for quite a few reasons. Regardless, I believe it is nonsense to carry on with the labels that have no real...
