Ok my non boring response to a Greek parish is, go to one and count how long it takes for someone to tell you that all you need to do is learn Greek and marry a good Greek girl. I think it was about 4 weeks for me. ;)

Depends on the parish. I found the members of the Greek parish that I have had the most to do with to be friendly and accepting and this is a parish that uses Greek in the service and has a lot of older members who barely speak English.
