It's obviously Obama building an underground world from which he can oversee the Socialisation and Muslimisation of the ENTIRE FREE WORLD.

    Richard Dawkins...

Doesn't one have to be unreasonable to be religious though? I mean the entire concept of 'having faith' is believing in something you can't see. Which is unreasonable. Why is it a bad thing to be called an enemy of reason? I am a Christian, and I do not disagree with much of what Dawkins says.

    Osama's Assassination Biblical or Evil?

The only time I can see murder (or killing, at least) being Biblical is when God specifically mandates it. And I am pretty sure that God did not tell Obama to kill Osama. I mean hell, maybe he did. But I would be surprised. Either way, I do not think we should ever rejoice in the death of a...

    Voluntary poverty?

The truth is important to me. I am not set in my ways if my ways are shown wrong or illogical or stupid...so if you could do that with my points, I'd love it, as it would mean that I'd be closer to the truth. :-)

John Jay, would you care to respond to the points I raised, in response to you? I would love to see what you think. :-)

    Voluntary poverty?

And what will they be if they follow him in that command, and take what he tells them to take on that journey? They will be poor. Right? Or does the idea of having nothing in your possession but a robe and a staff sound wealthy to you? "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth...

    Voluntary poverty?

    1. The first verse has to do with voluntary poverty because Jesus is commanding his disciples to be materially poor. You said something like "voluntary poverty is not in the Bible"...I was showing you a place where it was. 2. I am not arguing that you need to be poor to be a Christian...

    Creationism in public schools? (2)

I like that, Growing Smaller. Although I doubt most creationists/IDers would support creationism being shown in a 'bad' light in a science classroom.

    Voluntary poverty?

Those passages I quote where Jesus tells his disciples to "take nothing but a cloak and a staff" on their missionary journeys? That fact that Jesus himself did nothing to accrue worldly wealth? The Rich young ruler? Need I quote more?

    Voluntary poverty?

I can not believe that somebody would argue that voluntary poverty is anything but good. Are we reading the same Bible? Jesus commands his disciples to go from city to city, carrying nothing with them but a robe and a staff. Sounds pretty poor to me. Jesus told the rich young ruler "sell all...

    Letter From God

Okay. Saying "we generally should not lie to our children" is not the same thing as saying "we should expose our children to all the cold, dark evils in the world as early as we can". It is possible to be sensitive to our children's needs, and tell them the truth about things. It takes more...

    Ridding America of Terrorism

Nah, I've been around internet forums for quite a while. I was a moderator on the biggest Star Wars message board, for a couple years. I get that topics are broad, and that threads usually diverge off the topic and stuff I am simply commenting on the fact that in this thread, this issue has...
