Is Today's Christian Music Flawed by Today's Secular Sound?

I think too much of the modern music is corrupted and very little of it really ministers to me.

Can you repent for someone else's sin?

I believe repentance is the duty of every individual. People may pray for others living or dead to be saved or forgiven, ask God to save other people, be baptized on their behalf or declare the forgiveness of sins, but still, each inidividual person must repent and believe.

    Signs, Wonders, and Evangelism

Faith comes by hearing the word of God(Rom. 10:17) and the manifestations of the Holy Spirit are given as God wills(1 Cor. 12:11), so I feel it best to use the Bible in preaching and let God do any signs as He wills it to be done.

    Rev 22.19

It could mean Revelation only, but I believe it covers the entire Biblical record because of other scriptures with similar words: "Ye shall not add unto this word nor diminish ought from it" and "To the law and to the testimony, if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no...

    What denominations are traditionally reformed?

Maybe you can inquire from the nearest congregation about having services in your town. It may be possible that others in your city may be interested in gathering for services and possibly establishing a congregation. Or yes, possibly there is already a congregation of similar faith in your...

    What denominations are traditionally reformed?

Maybe these will be of help: The Reformed Church of Quebec: http://www.erq.qc.ca/english/ouridentity.html The Reformed Episcopal(Anglican) Church in Canada, Western Diocese: http://www.recwcan.ca/ The Reformed Episcopal Church, Central and Eastern Canada: http://www.rececan.org/ The...

    I want to be reformed

To read the Scriptures is certainly a great responsibilty and a sure practice of those who confess the Reformed faith. The Reformed faith certainly is Biblical. Reformed people desire to derive all their doctrine and practice only from clear warrant of scripture. This is certainly a noble thing...

    Hell House

Easy answer...God did not ordain this form of gathering souls and so most likely it will hardly save a soul if any. Salvation comes by hearing the preached word of the Gospel in a sermon about sin and repentance and forgiveness in the name of Jesus, not holding dramas in hell houses or observing...

I feel scared to preach about Election and Predestination...

The Apostle Paul was not afraid to discuss the topic(you probably already know these scriptures) As for Baptists and this topic, I think a few people already addressed this...Reformed Baptists and Primitive Baptists hold to Reformed doctrine. "For whom he did foreknow, he also did...

I just wanted to share why I became a Calvinist (Feel free to share!)

I was already Reformed in my personal devotion...using the Bible alone for home devotion and worship. However, I have come to believe that the doctrine of predestination is a comforting truth for the believer...who God predestinates, he calls, he justifies and WILL glorify(Romans 8:29&30)...no...

    Reading bible helps from sin?

Does the word of God help in our battle against sin? I answer with a resounding YES! I can testify to this. I had a powerful transformation by the Word. I was born again by the word of God "which liveth and abideth forever," and am sanctified by His word.."Sanctify them through the truth...

Can I get this off my chest?

Find a church that has lots of lay ministry. The church I attend has a pastor, but also lay preachers, worship assistants, etc, so the pastor isn't the only person we see or hear during worship. My church also has an evangelism committee to help with bringing new people to worship and to follow...

    Favorite Hymns

Shall We Gather At The River is my favorite, but there are others. Check out the history of the song here. Sounds like this Baptist preacher was mighty close to Pentecost when he wrote Shall We Gather........http://www.cyberhymnal.org/htm/s/w/swgatriv.htm

    Most cherished WoF leader

I support Kenneth Copeland Ministries. KCM has good integrity and Mr. Copeland is determined to take the word of Faith without compromise "from the top of the world, to the bottom, and all the way around!";) Other teachers in the Word of Faith are good. There are good teachers who aren't WOF as...

I haven't heard about Creflo Dollar's investigation. I know Kenneth Copeland was asked to submit some financial accountability information and he has answered. He also sent a letter to his partners. I believe you can read it on his website: http://www.kcm.org Praise the Lord that these...

    Non-Wof forum, being positive.

I don't know anybody on the non WOF forum, but I have see non WOF literature. I will say this: Many of non WOF have concerns just like WOF people do, to see God's word held up in honor with integrity and people ministered to in a good manner but maybe from a different approach. I will admit...

    Are you...

Post-trib, but I will just keep my eyes in God's word and looking up for my redemption because this is most important. It happens all too often that we get hung up on doctrinal squabbles too easily and our focus is directed towards ideas instead of the mind of Christ. Let us keep Christ before...

Kenneth Copeland(I am a partner with his ministry and have some of his literature), also Jesse Duplantis, Kenneth Hagin. Really, anyone who points people INTO(not just at) God's word to help them, they are a favorite, so that would mean more than just the three I mentioned. I don't agree with...

    Favorite Parts of Sunday Worship

Absolution or what we call the declaration of the forgiveness of sins(Acts 10:43 & 13:38, Heb. 9:14, 1 John 2:12 among many others). If it wasn't for the proclamation of the forgiveness of sins, we'd still be a hopeless people forever separated from God and unable to come before Him. Because of...
