I'm pretty sure there was one over at IIDB a couple months ago. He seemed pretty much exactly like a creationist in regards to tactics and such.

So if you take the OP to be talking strictly of Darwinian evolution then there were a lot of atheists that didn't "believe in" it.

Not really. Students should be taught to be curious and question things and then they will learn about evolution anyway.
