    Help with health problems....

I'm actually not obsese. Bodyfat % is probably under 20% at least. I'm 259 now after 2 months of problems but it wasn't very high to begin with. I'm a big guy with a fairly stocky build.

So the long story as short as possible: I'm 6 foot 4. WAS 285 lbs. Not as overweight as that sounds but definitely not lean. 39 year sold. Manual laborer. Used to do exercise physiology. No history of significant health problems. Wife has kidney stone operation mid Jan. Next night I'm in the...

    Evolution, why so many believe?

"oh by the way, your attitude is hardly "christian" I think you are an atheist trying to make christians look bad." RED FLAG. Oh so you're upset that I'm not the typical Christian who wastes all my posts on telling you how special you are and how I love you and how Jesus loves you? Oh...

    Evolution, why so many believe?

If you know why don't you spill the beans lol. Are you saying that this bacterias genetic code is changed when it becomes immune to antibiotics? You do know if a human drinks tiny ammounts of poison enough they can develop an immunity to it. Are you saying the DNA of that human is changed when...

    Evolution, why so many believe?

Ok here goes pumpkin, put your learning hat on: http://www.fda.gov/fdac/features/795_antibio.html "When a person takes an antibiotic, the drug kills the defenseless bacteria, leaving behind--or "selecting," in biological terms--those that can resist it" Uh notice what it says there? The...

"You claimed mutations are neutral or harmful. In light of this, I would like you to explain antibiotic resistance to me." Ok. But first you gotta agree to explain to me how antibodic resistance is going to cause bacteria to eventually sprout legs or wings, or two working eyeballs, etc. Deal?

"we have more than enough transitions given that situation." Tee hee yea. Why don't you show me one of these transition fossils. Oh and sorry I forgot that anybody who doesn't agree with you isn't interested in learning. What are you in the 3rd grade?

If you have a problem with arguements that aren't in favor of the evolutionary urban myth then why would you hang around a Christian message board? I guess "sciencetist" and common sense doesn't go hand in hand? ;) Didn't you say you were a "scientist"?

"However, biologists readily admit that they are less certain of the exact mechanism of evolution; there are several theories of the mechanism of evolution." Theories. You know what that is don't you science man? ROFL.

"Yay, probability arguments! More strawman for everyone! (I have a feeling I'm going to be ignored soon... " You're already being ignored because you choose to combat questions that you can answer by calling them "straw men" when yu know darn well every answer given by an evolution...

    Evolution, why so many believe?

Heres something for you Steve that kind of relates to what you said. It has been estimated that the complexity of planet Earth can be quantified with 160 exponential bits of information. Now, that doesn’t seem like much information to represent a whole planet but consider the following. 32...

Uh yea talkorigins is nothing new. Actually is an old laugh. Heres why: GAP: "The modern assemblage can be traced with little question to the base of the Eocene" says Carroll (1988). But before that, the origins of the very earliest primates are fuzzy. There is a group of Paleocene primitive...

"no it doesn't, because the cat isn't the horses ancestor, though they do share a very very ancient common ancestor. carnivorae themselves are tens of millions of years old, and the common cat/horse ancestor would have existad long long long before mesonyx did." Uh yea, is this the part...

    Evolution, why so many believe?

Yeah a harmful change. Show me one mutation that could turn a snake into a whale over any number of years? Show me a mutation that can reproduce to identical bilateral flippers on an organsim? Unless you think all the one flippered whales died out, just happend to never fossilize. "Quote...

"As well, your definition of adaptation is flawed. Take giraffe's for instance. The reason they have long necks is so that they can reach into the tops of trees for leaves. Now, say for some reason a giraffe is born with an unusually long neck. He will be able to survive better than his fellows...

    Evolution, why so many believe?

So what are some other problems people have with evolution? NO EVIDENCE. And this one could have its own book. But I'll make it as short as possible. For one, the fossil record does not support evolution. The different species appear in the fossil record abruptly, and suddenly, with no...
