  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I have never said people stop having moral stances, quite the contrary. An moral agent will always have a moral stance. It in no way support the notion of an objective morality.

If morality was like maths you should be able to do formal logical statements about morality. So go ahead. No, its not, its telling you that you are in way over your head. Dunning-Kruger in action.

Moral absolutism as compared to the advancement of technology

You have repeatedly failed to use logic on morality, therefore not supported that it works at all on morality. If it did, you could write formal true statements. Yes, authority is a must or the proposed objective morality is useless. This only works with god(s).
  18. VirOptimus

    Is there an absolute morality?

So you do a emotional argument trying to support that ”life is intrinsicly valuable” is an objective fact. Hilarious!
  19. VirOptimus

No, science is nothing like morals. Do you understand that morals and values are metaphysics? You dont understand the authority problem. Study it.

    Where is the Objective Morality?

”We all” dont know them, and ”we all” dont live by them. See how morality is different through times, space and from idividual to individual.
