That is no kind of 'logic' whatsoever. <staff Edit>

    No, he doesn't. You're welcome.

    Abortion: Murdering our young...

If he holds that abortion is objectively immoral, then he is, by definition, not a moral relativist. That's simply not true. Believing that something is objectively immoral makes one not a moral relativist. Nothing Obama has said indicates that he thinks abortion is not objectively immoral; he...

Principal outs a lesbian student to her parents, suspends students who support her

The ACLU is from people who are eager to defend the constitution. The ACLU can't "commit injustices"; only judges can. Since they are legally qualified and there is no evidence that you are, guess who's the best judge of what is just and unjust? The "gay agenda", like the "black agenda", is to...

Church for sale -- no strip clubs allowed.

I wonder if this is even legal? What if they said it wasn't for sale to black people - they'd sell to whites, asians, whatever...just no blacks? And I don't know how they can hope to control what's done with it down the line...what if the person they sell it to then sells it to a strip-club...

U.S. acts to open border to foreigners with HIV.

Wow. "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses...provided they're not going to cost us anything when they get here." What a frightening attitude. I'm sure Jesus is elated.

Court tosses FCC 'wardrobe malfunction' fine

Are you kidding? A healthy attitude toward reality - and the reality is we are all naked under our clothes - and you wonder what purpose it serves? For a start, it would gut the inappropriate contentography industry. Huge parts of that industry thrive on the fact that we view nudity in and of itself as dirty and...

Woman runs sword into foot during Wiccan ceremony

Great thread - everyone's childhood disasters! My contribution - at 8, climbing a tree at a friend's place, fell out of it biting through my lip and hurting my knee (later found out, broke it in two places). My friend's mum got me to call home, and I told my mum I hurt my lip and my knee. She...

Court tosses FCC 'wardrobe malfunction' fine

I find that to be a laughable stance. Positions like this are a big part of what is wrong - equating nudity with sex, treating nudity as something evil that is never to be seen. We (our society) has a huge neuroses about sex and nudity, and we really need to get over it.

    AFA calls for McDonald's boycott

What "tough battle"? What she's stated certainly indicates that she's a homophobic bigot. Whatever battle she might be facing doesn't give her a pass on that.

    Evolutionists and credentialism

It is a sound wave; it is not a sound until it hits a receiver. It's the same with any sort of wave that requires a receiver. A sound is what a receiver turns a sound wave into.

    Abortion is obviously murder.

No, it hasn't always had a specific moral definition. Even today it doesn't. Some people will call state executions murder, some will call killing in war murder, and some will call abortion murder. From a moral point of view, it's pretty meaningless - basically it means killing of a human being...

    Evolutionists and credentialism

The "correct thing" is whether or not a tree falling in the forest when nobody is there to hear it makes a noise. And it doesn't. Sound is just vibrations in the air; it only turns into noise when there is something (like an ear) there to translate those vibrations into something a mind can...

Abortion: Personal experience and Social policy

I don't know why you are having so much trouble understanding this. I'll state it yet again. If something is provided to a person without charge, it is free to that person. That someone somewhere has paid for it is completely irrelevant to the fact that it is free to that person. If we hand out...

    autistic boy banned from church

It appears (and I stress appears) that in this instance it's the family (primarily the mother) who's in the wrong. It seems to me she wants to treat her child the same as any other child, and wants everyone else to do the same. That's a nice idea, but a child with disabilities this severe must...

A person really shouldn’t stay a virgin until marriage.

Sorry, but this is nonsense. Virginity is entirely and completely about the physical. The emotional and spiritual is completely unrelated. A virgin is someone who has not had sex. If you've had sex, you're not a virgin. Doesn't matter if the sex was forced, agreed to, regretted the next day, or...

Should having sex with animals be called homosexuality?

Because they are two different words with completely different meanings and nobody has advanced any reason to make them synonymous. Not even worth a reply.
