    Can't support Bush anymore

Awesome OP. Its always really, really tough to come to those sorts of realizations, and I give you a lot of credit. It takes courage. No I told you so's. No time for that, its only destructive. All of us who you now agree with are delighted that you have recognized the problems too, and we...

Why abortion will never be outlawed.

What everyone has said here is reasons why we need to make sure that issues besides Roe v. Wade are considered in the debate over John Roberts. Issues such as where he stands on government regulation on the environment, worker's rights, etc. surely need to be addressed. Great thoughts all!

Oh! My bad! sorry Borealis, and all.

Do you care bin Laden is still a FREE person?

No, I don't really care. I have never worried about 'terrorism'. I don't care about nationalism, nor do I want revenge. I condemn all crimes against humanity, whether it be 9/11 or the War in Iraq.

Sanitizing the news: Media Barred from New Orleans Dead Zones

I think this is pretty important. The American mainstream media, through both its own desire for profit and the limits put on it by the federal government, is dangerously inaccurate. If we let them keep pushing us, the line between our media and State media will blur countinously further...

Bush is the Essence of Ineptitude!

Believing that Bush is dumb is giving him the benefit of the doubt.

Popular German Magazine Maliciously Attacks USA

The headline of a French newspaper after 9/11 read "WE ARE ALL AMERICANS". Bush had the support of the French, and the world.

Popular German Magazine Maliciously Attacks USA

I have to say that I can understand where the Germans are coming from, and I sort of agree. The U.S. appears to the world (with much justice) as the next empire in a long list of empires. It is the school yard bully, acting quickly and alone to get what he wants, picking on those smaller than...

Top three jobs at FEMA went to Bush cronies with no emergency management experience

But on the topic of the OP, I, for one, just don't know what to say anymore. There are options that are just not open to some people. All five senses are detecting rat, but they've managed to lie themselves out of reality. And we are all suffering for it.

DeLay to evacuee children: 'Is this kind of fun?'

I think Delay is the head of the harlot-hoppers in Washington, but I think this is a waste of time. He was trying to lighten the mood, maybe he did a bad job. There are much more imperative articles to be posted about Tom Delay. He is a disgrace even to his own party. Delay in 2008?

    Are Kyoto Protocols Feasible?

Funny OP. The title is posed as to say, "debate within". But then you open the thread and the decision has been made for you.

White House Enacts a Plan to Ease Political Damage

The article in the OP is reporting on the politics of the Bush admin. Your summation is not accurate in the least. I'm probably wasting my energy, though, since its obvious you've made up your mind already.

White House Enacts a Plan to Ease Political Damage

You can hide behind your straw men, but I'm if you'd like to come out I'm very interested in hearing all that Bush had done for the poor of the our nation.

    To the people politicizing tragedy

This tragedy and how we handle it has political implications and ties whether one likes it or not. It's possible to both help and learn from this at the same time.

A Failure of Government in These United States

No one has discussed the OP, just yelled at each other for silly reasons. Moore is right. Our involvement in Iraq has left us highly unprepared for such a natural disaster. When you realize that this war hasn't benefitted US citizens in the least anyway, well thats just salt in the wounds.
