What everyone has said here is reasons why we need to make sure that issues besides Roe v. Wade are considered in the debate over John Roberts. Issues such as where he stands on government regulation on the environment, worker's rights, etc. surely need to be addressed. Great thoughts all!

The article in the OP is reporting on the politics of the Bush admin. Your summation is not accurate in the least. I'm probably wasting my energy, though, since its obvious you've made up your mind already.

You can hide behind your straw men, but I'm if you'd like to come out I'm very interested in hearing all that Bush had done for the poor of the our nation.

This tragedy and how we handle it has political implications and ties whether one likes it or not. It's possible to both help and learn from this at the same time.

No one has discussed the OP, just yelled at each other for silly reasons. Moore is right. Our involvement in Iraq has left us highly unprepared for such a natural disaster. When you realize that this war hasn't benefitted US citizens in the least anyway, well thats just salt in the wounds.
