    HBC designed Olympics wear

Did anyone see the flyers that came out w/the new Olympic gear for the winter? It's no longer Roots but the Bay who did it. I think it's rather ugly. The design of the main "CANADA" upon the shirts looks like stuff from the ugly brand called Kappa. Basically, I think it's ugly. But then...

Reasons for slipping into Eating Disorders

I would like to have an understanding of eating disorders, since they seem so very rampant in today's generation. To avoid any further incorrect opinions of ED sufferers, could someone please provide me w/the basic reasons for someone to fall into EDs? Is there anything biological, or is it...

What's a Modern Girl to Do? --- article on Feminism

Maureen Dowd wrote a very insightful article on the past, present and future of feminism. http://www.nytimes.com/2005/10/30/magazine/30feminism.html?incamp=article_popular_1&oref=login I think the audience that needs to read this article, doesn't read the newspaper anyway, and so, this...

appeal of "the Lion the Witch & the Wardrobe"

I know there are a zillion people who love this C.S. Lewis book, one of the books of his Narnia series. It's even on Time magazine's list of top 100 books since 1923 (<-- I don't know why they chose 1923.) I recently picked up The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe and to my disappointment, the...

    Charles Dickens is overrated.

Take A Tale of Two Cities as an example. Poor character development, slow pacing, etc. Most excellent writing style, but bad writing over all. Bleak House is slightly better. But still. Dickens is overrated.

shoddy advice from a fellow depressed girl.

I've been depressed. In fact, I've been depressed just three days ago. My depression isn't fleeting. In fact, it lasts for months. I won't dive into the details, but let be sufficient to say that though I would never kill myself, I felt like it would be sweet bliss if someone else would kill...

    movie adaptions of books

    2005 Emmy Awards

Who do you think should have won? Seriously, Arrested Development should have swept, along with House. I mean, just because Everybody Loves Raymond is over, doesn't mean they have to usher it out with accolades to make them feel better. :(
