Thanks Rooster; I would never buy a pet when there are so many needing adoption.oldrooster said:Bless you for saving cats, better declawed than dead.....
We will be adding a cat to our household this week, from the shelter.....Truly Blessed said:Thanks Rooster; I would never buy a pet when there are so many needing adoption.
We just lost Sweetheart to tumors on her back and it really broke my heart.

It will be awhile before we get another one; just dont want to replace if you know what I mean.
I find it most disturbing that you would think I was actually serious about detoothing a dog. Did you get de-humored? Stay away from sharp objects, mmmkay?Caprice said:I must admit that I find the idea of de-toothing an animal repulsive, even moreso than declawing.
Funny think to mention: I read your name as "retarded mule" rather than "rented mule" lol

.......... Well I guess I didn't see any indication that you were joking. Thats cool then.rented mule said:I find it most disturbing that you would think I was actually serious about detoothing a dog. Did you get de-humored? Stay away from sharp objects, mmmkay?

(I know I don't do well with barking dogs, but that doesn't mean I'm going to put a shock collar on them!)

Cute idea, I shall remember it in case I am ever in such a peculiar cercumstance.Lady_Firehawk said:For cats who sharpen claws on tires-- I'm sure you could find some spare tires... make a scratching post out of them?![]()

I like how people just twist words around - no where did I say declawing was a sign of love. Furthermore, I am not in love with them when I got them from the U.S. Army Vet before being KILLED as mentioned before. But of Course you are right. I should of said the heck with it and let the Army Vet Kill them. I do fall in love with them after awhile.feo said:Declawing your cat is NOT a sign of love, its abuse. Theres several pet organizations and many many vets will agree with me. If you dont agree, go do some research on the topic. There are different ways to "deal with scratching", none of which involve ripping your poor cats fingers off.
I could not agree with you more.Ataradrac said:And don't get me started on tail docking and ear pinning on dogs. That is mutilation of the worst degree, for nothing more than aesthetics.![]()

I'd probably make sure the tires are covered under warranty first.Lady_Firehawk said:For cats who sharpen claws on tires-- I'm sure you could find some spare tires... make a scratching post out of them?![]()
