We are to leave it all behind….all of the man-based things and all of that church “family” (brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children) and follow Him.
We follow Him out for His sake and the gospel’s as we hear the truth of the gospel and believe. Those we leave behind will not believe in the Truth and will persecute those who do. They will not receive the love of the Truth and be saved.
A man’s foes will be the members of his own household…his own church family that he once was a part of. Matthew 10:36. We show we love Him more than them when we leave. We confess Him before men.
Mar 10:28-30 KJV
(28) Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee.
(29) And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,
We when we leave them behind, we shall receive now in this time others who also believe in the Word of Truth. We shall receive others who also will receive persecutions from their previous church families who will not believe.
Most translations such as the KJV have the wording (“and in the world to come eternal life”) mistranslated and not in its proper order as far as the arrangement of the words.
It should read: “and in the AGE the coming (PRESENT TENSE) AGE-LASTING life.”
The coming age-lasting life is NOW that we are to take hold of. It is for the duration of this present age before us.
(30) But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world (AGE) to come (the coming) eternal life (age-lasting life).
Just as the LORD commanded Abram to “get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house” we also must do and leave our church families behind.
He will show us a “land”….an earth…that we had not experienced before. We shall then receive the promises made to Abraham.
Gen 12:1-4 KJV
(1) Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
(2) And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
In us all of the families of the “earth” (the word is ADAMAH) shall be blessed. The “Adamah” are the people of the outside world who do not know God and are sitting in deep spiritual darkness.
(3) And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth (Adamah) be blessed.
(4) So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.
We have a command from Him that is delivered to us to keep: “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean; and I will receive you.” We must not turn away from the Holy Ito be separate for sanctification) Commandment delivered to us to keep. The man-based churches will NOT BELIEVE in what they hear....the hearing of the Word of Truth...and be saved. They will not receive the love of the Truth and be saved.
2Co 6:14-18 KJV
(14) Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
(15) And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
(16) And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
(17) Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
(18) And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
We shall then inherit the promises made to Abraham.
The earth then will flow with “milk and honey” rather than produce “thorns and thistles” towards us as it did when we had attended the man-based churches who are unclean. He brings us to that “land”…the earth that flows with milk and honey (good things)…to dwell in.
Lev 20:22-26 KJV
(22) Ye shall therefore keep all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: that the land, whither I bring you to dwell therein, spue you not out.
We are not to walk in the “manners” …that is, the ordinances or statutes…of the nation.
“Manners” = chûqqâh- Feminine of H2706, and meaning substantially the same: - appointed, custom, manner, ordinance, site, statute.
The man-based churches have their handwriting of ordinances (the “manners”) at the core of their church gatherings. We must leave it all behind. Do not walk anymore in their “manners.”
The man-based churches are all built upon/by their handwritings of which they keep and serve. They self-govern and judge themselves by them. ( such as “statements of faith, church constitutions and by-laws, etc.) They do this for themselves rather than have God be their King and Judge.
The man-based churches have copied the outside nations around them (who do not know God) who have put their own governing documents (their church “constitutions” for example). The outside nations do these things…and we must not copy them in this. They are then "IMAGES"...made in the likeness of the governing documents of the nations around us. We MUST NOT do these things. They are images.
We must not have these things in our church gatherings. They are an abomination and the glory of God has departed from those man-based church gatherings. It is image worship when we keep and serve them in our churches.
Our writing is within us as God has written His laws into our hearts and minds. The kingdom/government of God is WITHIN us and not “observed” by keeping external man’s handwritings of ordinances.
(23) And ye shall not walk in the manners (statutes) of the nation, which I cast out before you: for they committed all these things, and therefore I abhorred them.
We must leave it all behind so that we shall inherit the earth….an earth flowing with good things…with “milk and honey.”
(24) But I have said unto you, Ye shall inherit their land, and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land that floweth with milk and honey: I am the LORD your God, which have separated you from other people.
We are to be separated from the unclean man-based churches whose ways are unclean. We must not keep company with them. We are “severed”…that is, divided…from them.
(25) Ye shall therefore put difference between clean beasts and unclean, and between unclean fowls and clean: and ye shall not make your souls abominable by beast, or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing that creepeth on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean.
(26) And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.
We shall receive persecutions from the unclean man-based churches we leave behind. They will think it “strange” that we no longer “run” with them after their church things they revel it.
“abominable idolatries” = abominable IMAGE worshipping.
Their “images” are their church handwritings…their governing documents which are at the core of their “churches” that they keep and serve….worship.
They have copied the outside nations around them in this thing. They are “images” of what they see the nations around them doing as they copied them and placed them at the center of their gatherings. They self-govern and self-judge themselves with the “images” that they keep and serve. It is “image worshipping” that they are doing.

(3) For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:
