Many people are having dreams and visions and more are saying they saw the USA getting hit by catastrophic weapons...I don't know why they would lie....at least most of them....I wonder about this .......if we get hit by Russia in multiple places, say 10 cities, are we going to be ready to respond in like...???The enemy would try to take out Washington and if they do will our defenses be ready to respond??? This is the most important capability we could have.....we must be ready on all continents and oceans...

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

They are probably not. However the content of apocalyptic dreams and visions have yet to accurately predict much of anything.
There’s no defense against a nuclear first strike, only retaliation in kind.

People have dreams all the time. It’d be strange if they didn’t.
And you know that for decades people have managed to cope with imminent death by explosion.
During the Troubles actual bombs were going off in London and we just got on with life.
If sure Americans can cope with imaginary bombs.

However, any dream or vision that goes against what Bible prophecy says will happen must be false prophecy.
Jesus said in Matthew 24 that the beginning of sorrows (birth pangs) would be false Christs and deception, wars and rumors of wars, famines, pestilences and earthquakes in various places. These all have taken place and continue to get works as time progress, as Jesus prophesied.
Regarding the United States specifically, when matched with historical markers, the earth beast of Revelation 13 is none other than the United States, meaning it has to persist until the second coming to bring in worship of the beast and the mark of the beast.
I am not worried about the United States falling into world war or being attacked. I'm more worried about the wrath of God and the unrepentant.

If the Russians thought they could hit the US and even a had a snowball's chance of getting out of it unscathed, I suspect they would have tried it already.
Escalating to the level of nuclear attacks would likely result in a "mutually assured destruction" scenario.

We're probably at the greatest risk of nuclear war since the Cold War. It makes sense people are anxious.
That said, I find it hard to believe that for all the yes-men Putin has surrounded himself with that they would allow him to launch a nuclear strike on the USA or NATO, because at that point it's over. For them and for everyone they know and love.
If it came to that then chances are someone in the room would simply kill Putin.

I hope America doesn't get hit. Innocents can be killed. But America has started trouble with Iraq, Venezuela, Cuba, Canada, Iran and other countries. They would have good reason to go after the United States of America
