Let us count the ways that you express your ignorance...
It does mean that the NAACP is not a "far-left website", since the oldest websites are much younger than that (just over 30 years old).
200 years is how long the democratic party has existed,
The NAACP is not the Democratic party.
and it exploited black people by fighting to keep them as slaves.
The "democratic party" did not "fight to keep slaves". Southerners did, particularly the slave-holding ones. There were anti-slave Democrats throughout the country, particularly in the North. Not to mention those that were sort of neutral on the topic.
They fought a civil war to keep slavery around.
That would be the secessionist, traitor states, not "the democratic party".
Some Federal generals who were Democratic politicians included:
John Logan, XV Corps (temporary command of Army of The Tennessee during the Battle of Atlanta, July 22, 1864 after McPherson died)
John McClearnand, XIII Corps, dismissed for failures
Plenty of Democrats served the US in the Civil War and remained Democrats after the war.
They were also associated with the KKK.
The "first rising" of the KKK was as a terrorist group to stop freedmen from voting and reclaim "white power". Slaves voted with the party of Lincoln, so the "white power" voted the opposite.
The "second rising" of the KKK (~1920s) was more politically diverse. Outside the south, it was involved in both parties and the mid-1920s Indiana GOP government was completely controlled by the klan.
(Look it up if you don't believe me).
ditto.
It was a Republican president that freed the slaves.
Which has nothing to do with Democrats, then or now. The GOP can put that in their cap, if they like.
So much for the amount of time of existence giving automatic credence.
Imagine how little credence your church has then...
I only mentioned the age of the NAACP to remind (inform?) you that the NAACP is not "a web site" nor some "leftist group". Their purpose from the start to the present (that's the more than 100 year part) has *always* been about advancing the rights and status of Black people in American society. (If you think that to be leftist and you oppose the leftists, then what does that say about your view of the rights of Black people? Hmmm. Perhaps you should rethink your statements.)
Don't count on organizations that lean hard in the same direction
what direction? (we are talking about the NAACP again, right?) The direction of the Democratic Party? The NAACP has not been aligned with the Democratic Party for its existence. Quite the opposite. Though the NAACP is a non-partisan organization and always has been.
to be the ones looking out for black people if they're going to assume black people can't even provide a valid ID for themselves to vote in an election to determine the direction of their own country.
Do you just not listen to any of the things told to you about efforts to make it harder to get an ID that are aimed at certain groups?
[I count about a half-dozen expressions of ignorance. Quite impressive.]
