  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

There is a difference between acting righteous and not being a sinner.
Righteous acts transpire in the midst of the evil we all bear in our flesh. Not that the flesh is evil. It is the habitation of our adversary and ourself, not just "me" or "you."

The action of loving our neighbors as ourselves is meant to torture our enemies, internal.

But you see, most believers do the opposite, thinking in their heart that most of their neighbors are going to burn alive forever or be eternally snuffed out. The exact opposite of loving them as ourselves.

There is the dividing line, that starts from within.

One Loved.
One HATED.

Both present in ALL.

Thusly EVERY WORD OF GOD APPLIES to the ALL. Particularly the DIRE WORDS.

With the choice between acting in accordance with God or as adversaries to Him, available in both Heaven and in earth, there is a pretty good chance that choice will still exist in the Kingdom. Will those whose allegiance is to adversity find a home there, or will it be a refuge for those willing to follow God's Will over our own?

IF you're claiming sinlessness via legal obedience just say so.

IF you're claiming personal exemptions of non applicability from scriptures such as Mark 7:21-23, Mark 4:15, Romans 3:9 and the many others like them just say so.

You know none of those claims are true anyway, but the above is what you're trying to do, among many other dead end claims.

Paul told the truth, that when he did good, evil was in fact still present with him. Romans 7:17-21. Thank God for honest men, even going so far to say that he was the present tense chief of sinners after salvation.
Paul said in (Gal. 6) (v.3) For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. (v.4) But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.

The book says let every man prove his own work, and if your work is good then you will rejoice in it. (v.5) For every man shall bear his own burden. That’s right; every man must bear his own burden. You mean you thought that all you had to do was confess the name of Jesus and that was it? Brothers and sisters you must work to get salvation. (v.7) Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. God is not to be played with. Whatsoever you plant, that’s what you are going to reap. Be it good works unto eternal life, or evil works unto eternal damnation. The choice is yours, and your works belong to you.

Reminds me of those who go about proclaiming they are the bride of Christ when they are nothing more than late comer guests at the wedding feast. Vanity. The Bride is the Kingdom that comes down from Heaven and Jesus paid the dowry to make it His.

A man asked Jesus this very question, "...What good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?", and Jesus replied, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. (Matthew 19:16-19).

This was a direct answer to a direct question, which all of us will do well to take heed to. Anybody can claim to have faith, but actions speak louder than words. Faith and works go together and you can't have one without the other. "Here is the patience of the saints; here are they that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus" (Revelation 14:12).

Here is this one.

James 1:22-24
22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
