In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Breaking one commandment we break them all? Does the Sabbath apply?

In the New Testament we are told that "whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all" James 2:10.
James then illustrates this principle by quoting directly and contrasting from the Ten Commandments James 2:11; Exodus 20:1-17.

Can we see this in Scripture in what God said about the fourth commandment.- the commandment where God placed Himself as the Creator of heaven and earth Exo20:11 the God behind His entire Testimony Exo31:18

The Ten Commandments were written by God Himself on two stone tablets Exo31:18 Exo32:16 Deut4:13, we are told what God does is forever Ecc3:14. The first four are about how we love God. And the fourth one - the Sabbath -is not the least of them. The fourth commandment uniquely identifies the God we are to apply the first three commandments by naming Him as the Creator of heaven and earth. The God who made heaven and earth. There are lots of gods in this world, but only One who has the power to make heaven and earth and no wonder in the everlasting gospel message before the Revelation of Jesus Christ, we are told to get back to worship this God. Rev14:7. Is it just about only breaking this one commandment. I think God Himself made clear in His own words, that's not the case.

See how God Himself ties breaking the 4th commandment to breaking the others, and these quotes are not me saying, they are all thus saith the LORD'S.

Commandment No 1: have no other gods before Me.

The Sabbath belongs to the LORD. Exo20:10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. Jesus said, "Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath. Mark 2:28 The Sabbath day has a Lord, and it's Jesus who is God.

Isa 58:13 “If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath,
From doing your pleasure on My holy day,
And call the Sabbath a delight,
The holy day of the Lord honorable,
And shall honor Him, not doing your own ways,
Nor finding your own pleasure,
Nor speaking your own words
,

When God's holy day is knowingly set aside for our own pleasure, work, or will, Scripture repeatedly shows that the heart is turning from the Lord to something else. God Himself linked the Sabbath profanation with idolatry in Ezekiel 20:16, because whatever we place above His command becomes the object of our devotion.

Exo 31:13 Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the LORD who sanctifies you

Eze 20:12hallow My Sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between Me and you, that ye may know that I am the LORD your God

Again, the Sabbath is connected directly with acknowledging who the true God is. Notice the Sabbath is the sign of knowing the LORD. Rejecting His sign rejects the covenant sign by which He identifies Himself as the LORD your God

Isa 56:6 “Also the sons of the foreigner
Who join themselves to the Lord, to serve Him,
And to love the name of the Lord, to be His servants
Everyone who keeps from defiling the Sabbath,
And holds fast My covenant

God invited us to keep the Sabbath and serve Him. we are told whoever we obey is who we serve Rom6:16KJV, so if we are not serving God the way He invited everyone to do, what god are we serving?

Commandment No 2 No idols. An idol isn't just a statue. It's anything we serve instead of God. God said -

Eze 20:16 because they despised My judgments and did not walk in My statutes, but profaned My Sabbaths; for their heart went after their idols. 36:As for you, O house of Israel,” thus says the Lord God: “Go, serve every one of you his idols—and hereafter—if you will not obey Me; but profane My holy name no more with your gifts and your idols

God places Sabbath profanation and idolatry together. He Himself joins them in the same passage.

Commandment #3 Do not take the LORD's name in vain.

God Himself said what happens when the Sabbath is violated, Who is it really profaning...

and they have hidden their eyes from My Sabbaths, so that I am profaned among them. Eze 22:26

When we do not keep God's Sabbath holy God said, "I am profaned among them." The Sabbath carries His name. The Sabbath day is even the sign "that I am the LORD that sanctify them" Eze 20:12

Here God directly connects profaning the Sabbath with profaning His holy name.

Eze 20:16
because they despised My judgments and did not walk in My statutes, but profaned My Sabbaths; for their heart went after their idols. 36:As for you, O house of Israel,” thus says the Lord God: “Go, serve every one of you his idols—and hereafter—if you will not obey Me; but profane My holy name no more with your gifts and your idols

Isa 56:6Also the sons of the foreigner
Who join themselves to the Lord, to serve Him,

And to love the name of the Lord, to be His servants—
Everyone who keeps from defiling the Sabbath,
And holds fast My covenant

God joins loving His name with keeping His Sabbath. If God says that profaning His Sabbaths profanes Him Eze 22:26, what does that tell us about how He views refusing the day He Himself made holy?

Commandment #4 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

Exo 20:8 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

God never taught us to elevate any other day above the holy day of the LORD. God blessed and sanctified one day for holy use and commanded us to work the other six days, this could be going to work, work around the house, gardening etc.. Note, this commandment is not about not praying to Him daily, not reading the Bible daily, but its keeping one day He asked us to Remember, so its important to our Father, the entire day to only worship and honor God, setting aside our own desires Isa 58:13 This commandment is not just about the Sabbath, its how God wants us to govern all of our days. God is in control of everything and when we honor Him, the way He asks, we are allowing Him to be the God we serve.

These connections are not my conclusions but God's own testimony. Again and again He links the Sabbath with knowing Him, serving Him, honoring His name, rejecting idols, and worshiping Him as Creator. James tells us that to break one commandment is to become guilty of the whole law James 2:10-11, and God's own words show why the Sabbath commandment cannot be isolated from the rest of the first table of His law

I believe He is saying if one chooses the law over grace they must keep all the law which we know goes way beyond the Sabbath and the rest of the Ten commandments.

Can you please clarify who is "He" you are referring to? Are you saying James or God?

In Scripture there is never a choice of serving grace or obeying the law of God, we need grace because we have sinned against God Exo20:20 and broke His commandments 1John3:4 James2:11. They work in tandem not against.

Grace has never been a license to sin and break God's law, Paul I think made this point very plainly. Paul says those who are in Christ why would they want to sin against Him and break His laws? Rom7:7 Why would we not want to be walking in a new path with Jesus, who said if you love Me, keep My commandments John14:15, not to break or teach others to break the least of these commandments Mat5:19, not to lay aside the commandment of God for mans traditions Isa 29:13 Mat15:3-14, which makes God's word void and ones heart far from Him.

Rom 6:6 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? 3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

We should be dying daily to sin, putting away the old man, abiding in Christ John15:4-10 but its important to allow God to define sin Exo20:20 Exo20:1-17 1 John3:4 James 2:11 because covering our sins is not the answer Pro28:13 John3:19-21 going to Jesus and confessing them and turning from is 1John1:9 through our love of Jesus and His power John14:15-18 which means a change of our mind, and change in our direction. He gives us grace, but after He heals us He says, now go and sin no more.

Paul goes on to say whoever we obey is who we serve.

Rom6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

Why would we not want to serve the LORD the way He asks?

Isa 56:6 “Also the sons of the foreigner
Who join themselves to the Lord, to serve Him,
And to love the name of the Lord, to be His servants
Everyone who keeps from defiling the Sabbath,
And holds fast My covenant

"He" is James.
Both James and Paul use the "all-or-nothing" nature of the law to show its absolute futility for righteousness. Their point is liberating because trying to keep the law requires 100% flawless perfection, and humans are incapable of that, we must rely entirely on grace.
By using James 2:10 as a high-pressure leverage, it weaponizes the verse arguing that if you don't observe the Saturday Sabbath, you are automatically guilty of murder, theft, idolatry, and breaking every single command. In other words, this post is completely flipping the biblical logic on its head to enforce the exact legalistic system the New Testament writers were trying to dismantle.
By pulling James 2:10 out of its broader context to mandate Sabbath-keeping, this post misses the verse that immediately follows a few lines later: "Mercy triumphs over judgment" (James 2:13). Using a text designed to expose the impossible burden of legalism drags people right back into it.

But alas, we have been here before!

Thanks for sharing!

"He" is James.
Both James and Paul use the "all-or-nothing" nature of the law to show its absolute futility for righteousness.
Its actually not all or nothing, as if I can keep all the law or choose not to keep any of the law and both outcomes are OK, they lead in very different directions Rom6:16.

That's not at all what James is saying. James is quoting what God said in the Ten Commandments.

Breaking one of these commandments, we break them all and become sinners or transgressors of the law.

1 John3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
James 2:11 For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law

James said 9 but if you [e]show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors. 10 For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.

And where does sin lead...
Rom 6:16 Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?

Heb 10:26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. 28 Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” [g]says the Lord. And again, “The Lord will judge His people.” 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Their point is liberating because trying to keep the law requires 100% flawless perfection, and humans are incapable of that, we must rely entirely on grace.
What this is really saying, that the power of the devil is more powerful to keep us in sin that the Son is to free us from sin, because whoever sins is not from God 1John3:8 Jesus came to save us from our sins Mat1:21 not in sin Heb10:26-30

The Bible teaches through abiding in Christ we can overcome sin and keep the law of God written in our hearts and minds to do them through our love and faith of Him John14:15 Rom3:31 and by His power.

John 15:4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you[b] will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. 9 “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. 10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.

Mat19:17 But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”
Mat 19:26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Why the Bible speaks of a people who overcomes, if we can't overcome and are a slave to sin, there would be no use for these verses

Revelation 2:7
“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.”

Revelation 2:11
“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death.” ’

Revelation 2:17
“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it.” ’

Revelation 2:26
And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations—

Revelation 3:5
He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

Revelation 3:12
He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on himMy new name.

Revelation 3:21
To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

Revelation 21:7
He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.

It comes down to our daily decisions, will we obey God and serve Him or obey sin and serve the flesh Rom8:7-8, which leads according to Jesus those who teach and those who follow this teaching in a ditch Mat15:3-14

God promises a people who loves Him keep His commandments until the very end, if it were not so, we would not have these promises

Exo 20:6 but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.
Rev 22:14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.
By using James 2:10 as a high-pressure leverage, it weaponizes the verse arguing that if you don't observe the Saturday Sabbath, you are automatically guilty of murder, theft, idolatry, and breaking every single command.
My friend, please go back and read the OP its not me saying, these are all quotes from God, this is not an argument with me, but with God Himself. God placed the 4th commandment in with the commandment to only worship Him and not murder our neighbor. God Himself shows how when we violate this one commandment, we violate them all. God related it to a heart issue Eze20:16 where Jesus said is where sin begins, in the heart and our heart is far from Him when we lay aside God's commandments, for traditions and teachings of man.
In other words, this post is completely flipping the biblical logic on its head to enforce the exact legalistic system the New Testament writers were trying to dismantle.
Is the God of the OT not the same as the God of the NT - loving God the way God asks Exo20:6 is a legalistic system but serving sin is not 1John3:8. Sadly this is what is flipped. That Gods loves us and wants to spend holy time with us so He can bless and sanctify us is a bondage of legalism. This is a very sad doctrine, because Jesus said the Sabbath was made for man, basically its saying Jesus made something for us to keep us in bondage instead of the Blessing and Sanctification He said it was for and to free us from sin. Think about this, who wants us to believe this narrative, that God is against man and made something that is contrary and against us instead of made for us as Jesus said.

We need to be careful we are relying on the dictates of our own heat Jer 17:9 and not on God's ways Isa 55:9 Isa 56:1-2 Isa 56:6 Isa 58:13 Exo20:8-11 which is how we got in this mess in the first place. Sin became so deep it was engraved in tablets of the heart Jer17:1 and many lost sight of God's will and what sin is Jer 16:10-11 the whole reason for the New Covenant to counter the tablets of sin in the heart Jer 17:1 by replacing with the law of God on tablets of the heart 2Cor3:3 Jer 31:33 Heb8:10- God's version, not mans because what He does is forever no one can add to or take from Ecc3:14 and we should fear God and not sin against Him Exo20:20 but fear Him and keep His commandments because we love God more than anything and anyone else Ecc12:13-14 Rev14:6-12

Jesus said if you love Me, keep My commandments John14:15 Jesus and God are One Exo20:6 He said not to break or teach others to break the least of these commandments Mat5:19 and when we lay aside the commandment of God quoting from the Ten Commandments is makes God's word void and our worship in vain Isa 29:13 Mat15:3-14 Mark7:7-13 so you're claiming the servants of Christ taught against Christ when they said everything had to be according to Christ? Col2:8

The Law referred to in James 2:10 is more than the Ten Commandments. I submit there are very few groups today observing the whole of the law outside, perhaps, of Orthodox Jewish groups, even though some fashion themselves to be.

I am going to have to disagree, the commandments James quoted and contrasted were only from the Ten Commandments James 2:11, written by God, spoken by God. Not what was written by Moses in a book, besides God's ark Deut31:24-26, that Jesus plainly said He ended. Dan9:27 Heb10:1-10

And it still doesn't change the fact God Himself shows when we break the Sabbath commandment, its also breaking the other commandments. I do not know of one Scripture where it says we are free to break God's commandments, the Bible says, if we love God, we should keep them.

Col2:8

God gives us mercy and when we confess and forsake Pro28:13 1 John1:9 walk a new life in Christ and when He heals He says go and sin no more, not continue in the path that leads to danger. God wants to deliver us from sin, Mat1:21 Exo20:1-20 why His laws are the laws of liberty, it liberates us from sinning against God which separates us Isa 59:2 when we love Him and though His power we can keep them which reconciles us back to God's will Psa 40:8 and to Him Rev22:14 its what all man will be judged by James 2:11-12 Ecc12:13-14 Rev11:18-19 Jesus does desire mercy over Judgement, but He gives mercy to those who love Him and keep His commandments Exo20:6 and forsakes sin Pro28:13 because they have turned from their sin and another master and abide now in Christ and serve Him Isa 56:6 whose Spirit is given to help us obey Him and keep His commandments John14:15-18 Acts 5:32 but sadly, not everyone wants to be free from sin John3:19-21

One objection that often comes up is, "How can breaking the Sabbath be placed alongside sins like murder or adultery?"

The answer is not found in what I think, but in what God Himself said.

The seriousness of the Sabbath commandment is also seen in the judgments God Himself pronounced throughout Scripture. Under the old covenant, Sabbath-breaking carried the same death penalty as murder, adultery, idolatry, blasphemy, and other capital offenses because it was rebellion against the authority of the Lawgiver Himself Exo 31:14-15; Num 15:32-36. Is there a reason God placed the fourth commandment alongside these other commandments? It is important that we allow God- not ourselves-to define what sin is and how serious it is

The same rebellion Eze20:13 that kept an entire generation out of the Promised Land included profaning God's Sabbaths, hearts going after idols- placing something above what God asks Ezekiel 20:15-16. That same pattern continued throughout Israel's history. By Jeremiah's day, God again warned that continued Sabbath profanation would bring the destruction of Jerusalem Jer 17:21-27. God has demonstrated how serious He is about His Sabbath. God does not lower His standard of righteousness Psa 119:172, Isa. 56:1-2. His righteousness is everlasting Psa 119:142. Through our love for Him and the indwelling Holy Spirit, He enables us to walk in loving obedience, we have to cooperate John14:15-18 John 15:4-10 Rom8:7-8

By Jeremiah's day they had become so spiritually blind that they asked, 'What is our iniquity? What is our sin?' Jer. 16:10. They no longer recognized the seriousness of their rebellion, and God answered by reminding them that they and their fathers had forsaken Him Jer. 16:11-12. Are we in that same pattern? It is easy to think we are not sinning when we compare ourselves with other people instead of measuring ourselves by God's standard. Jesus addressed this very problem when He rebuked those who honored God with their lips while making His commandments of no effect through tradition Isa. 29:13; Matt. 15:3-14

We are told "all Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness" 2 Tim 3:16. The Old Testament was not written merely as history. It was written to teach us, warn us, correct us and reveal God's character and His view of sin.

The world we live in is made up of time. The Sabbath was established at Creation before sin entered the world. Jesus said, "The Sabbath was made for man" , that He is LORD of Mar 2:27-28. God blessed it, sanctified it, and called it a delight Gen 2:2-3; Isa 58:13-14. He made it to bless the man who keeps the Sabbath Isa 56:2. Why would our Creator not want to spend sacred time with us on the only day He blessed and sanctified to do so.

Perhaps this is one reason the fourth commandment stands where it does. It identifies the God we are to worship as the Creator of heaven and earth Exo 20:11,the God the everlasting gospel calls the world to worship Rev14:6-7 before it is too late Rev18:4 Rev22:11

I believe what some of us are saying is .....if you are under the law you are obligated to keep all of it. This is why Paul argues in Galatians that attempting to be justified or bound by the Law requires absolute, unbroken perfection—which is precisely why salvation is offered through faith in Jesus Christ rather than through the works of the Law.

This is why Paul argues in Galatians that attempting to be justified or bound by the Law requires absolute, unbroken perfection—which is precisely why salvation is offered through faith in Jesus Christ rather than through the works of the Law.
We need to look at the law Paul is speaking of in Galatians, the Sabbath was not mentioned once, Paul himself kept every Sabbath Acts 13:44 Acts 15:21 Acts 17:2 Acts 18:4 as a professed servant Rom1:1 Isa 56:6 and follower of Christ Luke4:16.

The law Paul keeps referring to was circumcision, what was required to receive the the cure for sin in the OT. The Jews were teaching it was a requirement for salvation Acts 15:1 Gal 2:3 which never could save anyone Heb10:1-10. This is the works of the law Paul was correcting, the only cure for sin is found in the blood of Jesus when we confess and turn from sin. Pro28:13 1 John1:9, Paul was not re-defining sin Exo20:20 Rom7:7 Paul was not teaching not to obey God and feel free to sin, He taught keeping the commandments of God is what matters 1Cor7:19 and everything has to be according to Christ Col2:8. It will be hard pressed to find one verse from Christ that says we do not have to keep the 4th commandment, Jesus is LORD of the Sabbath, why would a servant of God try to tear down what Jesus Christ is LORD of and profane what God said to keep holy and identifies Him as our Creator Exo20:11, the only God we are called to worship Rev14:7 . When God establishes something as doing righteousness Isa 56:1-2 and as doing evil Isa 56:2 Neh13:17, it stays that way Rev22:11ESV. Its up to us to listen and believe what Jesus told mankind to live by- what God said over man Mat4:4 the apostles taught the same thing, Acts 5:29

Under the law (of sin and death Rom7:23) means to be under sin and guilty before God and under the law of condemnation of sin is death. Rom3:19 Rom6:23 not that we do not have to obey God's commandments, the Law that is holy, just and good Rom7:12, written by God Himself Exo31:18 that are perfect Psa 19:7. Paul made clear those who do not, do not enter into God's kingdom Gal5:18-21 just as Jesus taught Mat5:19-30 Mat15:3-14 Mat19:17-19 Mat 7:21-23 Rev22:14-15. Its not that the law can save us, it just shows us our true condition as sinners so we don't cover our sin Pro28:13 and should depend on God's standard of righteousness (right-doing) Psa 119:172 Isa 56:1-2 which is everlasting Psa 119:142 instead of depending on the dictates of our own heart Jer 17:9 to determine what's right, what's wrong. Exactly what got us in this whole mess to begin with.

I believe He is saying if one chooses the law over grace they must keep all the law which we know goes way beyond the Sabbath and the rest of the Ten commandments.

Blessings
Under grace, we have the New Covenant where the Law is written on the heart instead of deleted. See Heb 8 and Jer 31:31-34

Hence... Romans 6.

Rom 8:4-9 says those without grace, without the new Cov, without the new birth "do not submit to the Law of God neither indeed CAN they" 8:7

Rom 2:13 (for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified;

Matt 7: “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.

saying "Lord Lord" is not a bad thing. Saying "grace grace" is not a bad thing. But it boils down to fruit .what is done

1 John 2:
3 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. 4 He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. 6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.

That is the opposite of "ignore the commandments of God" (We might agree on that point)

1 John 5:
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome.

Eph 6:1-2 "Honor your father and mother, is the FIRST commandment WITH a promise"
Question: "First commandment with a promise" in what list of commandments?

Heb 7 says it does not include the laws of the priesthood in the OT
Heb 10 says it does not include the laws of ceremony and animal sacrifice as we see in OT

It includes the TEN Eph 6:1
It includes Lev 19:18 Love your neighbor as yourself Matt 22
It includes Deut 6;5 Love God with all your heart, Matt 22

and other moral commands as well

I disagree. It is a narrowed definition of what "whole" means. At the time the letter was written, the Jews referenced were most likely keeping the whole Mosaic law including its moral, ceremonial, and civil components...most of which modernists overlook while focusing narrowly on day of meeting in assembly. If you are a Hasidic Jew, you are keeping 613 commandments of the Torah.

God Himself said it is the "whole law" of God

This is God speaking here...

2 Chron 33: 8 and I will not again remove the foot of Israel from the land which I have appointed for your fathers—

Notice how God makes the distinction between what God commanded them, calling it the whole law.

only if they are careful to do all that I have commanded them, according to the whole law

And the distinction from the laws given by Moses, which is everything except the Ten Commandments Exo20:1-17 Deut4:13 that God directly commanded the people and wrote Himself

and the statutes and the ordinances by the hand of Moses.

God never needed man to complete anything for God. God Himself wrote the Ten Commandments Exo31:18 and added no more to them Deut5:22, its the whole law of God and are very broad Psa 119:96 Mat5:19-30 Col3:5 Eze20:16 etc.

God's commandments and standard of righteousness came before Moses, before Israel, the earthy temple was patterned after God's heavenly Temple not the other way around Heb8:1-5 Heb9:23-24 right where His Ten Commandments are inside God's ark Exo40:20 Rev11:19. The law of Moses besides God's ark, was a tutor to bring people back to Christ Gal3:10-19

James is writing more than a decade after the cross to his fellow Jewish Christians. As Christians they accepted the Apostle Paul, even more so since he says "I AM a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee". And even in nonChristian Jewish synagogues they refer to Paul and his friends as "brethren" in Acts 13 inviting Paul to give a sermon to the synagogue.

Heb 7 says the law of the priesthood ends at the cross.
Heb 10 says the animal sacrifices and offerings end at the cross

That is a special letter explicitly written for Hebrew Christians.

James argues for keeping the whole law, but never says "if you do not covet then you must offer animal sacrifices and reject the atonement made by Christ"

Nor does he say "if you do not take God's name in vain then you must offer animal sacrifices"

Nor does he say that about keeping the Sabbath

He allows for Paul's teaching to be true.

Acts 13:42 Paul preaches the gospel in a Jewish synagogue to both gentiles and Jews. Jews welcome Paul initially , even asking him to give a sermon/teaching . The Jews are not entirely enthusiastic about the gospel that Paul teaches, but the gentiles immediately want more gospel preaching. When they ask for more gospel, instead of saying "have I got good news for you, we have gospel preaching services tomorrow at our weekly Sunday/weekDayOne" services,, they wait 'until next Sabbath" for more gospel preaching.

That means they did not even have a custom of Sunday services more than a decade after the resurrection of Christ.

Acts 13:42 Paul preaches the gospel in a Jewish synagogue to both gentiles and Jews. The Jews are not entirely enthusiastic about it but the gentiles want more gospel preaching.

And to try to change this after Christ ratified His covenant Isa 56:6 Jer 31:33 Heb8:10 at the Cross by His blood, would require the death of Jesus all over again, but His death was once and for all Heb10:10 why Paul may be hard to understand, if we reconcile everything the way Paul did, everything according to Christ Col2:8 and live how Christ told mankind to Mat4:4 it sure makes Scripture much clearer. God first, nothing above Him.

In the New Testament we are told that "whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all" James 2:10.
James then illustrates this principle by quoting directly and contrasting from the Ten Commandments James 2:11; Exodus 20:1-17.
I understand you believe James is just referring to the ten. You claim to be an SDA, and the SDA tenets go much further than just the ten. From the Book of the Law you claim that we must tithe and not eat certain foods that God gave to Noah. And then there is the fact that the ten do not mention the greatest commandment, LOVE. Your prophet claims that if you do not pay a "faithful tithe", you will lose your eternal inheritance. Jesus would not have been a tither; He didn't raise animals or crops. Under the old covenant, only those who raised crops and/or animals paid the tax. Also, we read that the Levites paid tithe on the tithe they received. You should check in on this because of what the churches are teaching. The prophets said we would lose our eternal reward if we don't "keep Sabbath and tithe. According to what Scripture tells us, was she telling something different? Are you able to "keep" the Sabbath according to Is 58:13. I couldn't and according to the prophet we will have to stand alone before Jesus comes without Jesus Blood covering our Sabbath breaking. We have to overcome sin. WOW!
Can we see this in Scripture in what God said about the fourth commandment.- the commandment where God placed Himself as the Creator of heaven and earth Exo20:11 the God behind His entire Testimony Exo31:18
Yes, God let the Israelites know He is Creator. When Jesus came to save us H let us know the same thing plus He gave us a very special planting in our hearts to guide us. 2Cor3 tells us the Holy Spirit replaced the Ten Commandments. How much clearer could it get?
The Ten Commandments were written by God Himself on two stone tablets Exo31:18 Exo32:16 Deut4:13, we are told what God does is forever Ecc3:14. The first four are about how we love God. And the fourth one - the Sabbath -is not the least of them.
That is simply not true SB. None of them suggest LOVE. They all were about duty. Those commandments were never given to any other nation on Earth. They were not a complete set of commands. LOVE is. when we love God and our fellow man we will do nothing to hurt them. Paul teaches this n Gal 5.
if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. (See any that are not in the Ten Commandments?)

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

Mark 2:28 The day has a Lord, and it's Jesus who is God.

All those Old Testament verses were for one nation; Israel. We are under a New and better Covenant of Love and Grace. Our rest is in Jesus. I cannot get any better than that.
He never taught any other nation to observe the Laws He gave exclusive to Israel.
Do you realize you are trying to make others believe they have to work their way to Heaven? Are you telling us to something you cannot even do?

I am pretty sure God is the only One to know what strangers do. To claim God gives commandments and then does not give us the power to keep them, is not something the Bible teaches. John 15:4-10 John14:15-18 Mat19:26 Rev22:14

I believe God was clear who His commandments are for, for those who love Him Exo20:6 1John5:3 everyone is invited Isa 56:6 its just a matter of who will hear Him and join themselves to the LORD to serve Him.
