So interesting. Unwittingly our anti-environment president has the world hustling to install wind turbines and solar panels, especially China. In 2024 China accounted for more than half the world's new wind and solar energy. It derives 30% of its energy from electricity--40% more than the US or Europe. And as the Iran war has countries scrambling to reduce oil use, China manufactures 91% of solar panels and 89% of lithium ion batteries.
And so a misguided war is hastening green energy use and creating trillions in green energy panels and battery sales for China. The environment and China are the big winners and Trumpmerica is the biggest loser.
While he is trying to corner the market on oil, the demand will be reduced as Western Europe and the Pacific Rim turn more and more to renewables. Yet another failed business venture built on greed and impulsivity.
