Peace in Christ.
Age-lasting life (aka “eternal life”… aka “everlasting life”) pertains to this current age we are living in.
Our mortal bodies shall never perish throughout this present age as we have an “age-lasting” life. We remain “flesh and blood” throughout this current age and shall never mortally die....living TO the last day of this age.
We …the living…believe in Christ (who speaks to us the true Word of God). Those who are living and believing in Him shall NOT DIE INTO THE AGE. “throughout the age” = THIS CURRENT AGE. This is an age-lasting life to be had now throughout this present age. He delivers us out of this current age (by having life) so that we enter into the next age having never mortally perished.
John 11:26
Literal Standard Version
and everyone who is living and believing in Me will not die—throughout the age;
Jesus was made partaker of our flesh and blood nature so that through His mortal death He might destroy him that has the power of death. The “death” is the death of our mortal, flesh-and-blood bodies and that death has been rendered idle now in this age because of His sacrifice.
This is not about “spiritual death” as preached by those who have to spiritualize death away in order to smooth over their own mortal deaths and those they are deceiving. They are preaching their covenant with death and their agreement with the grave to many who are being deceived and are going down the path to there.
Heb 2:14 KJV
(14) Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
He has “abolished” …that is, rendered idle…death (death in our flesh-and-blood bodies). Just as death has no dominion over Him, it has no dominion over us. As He is alive, we live here in this world. But we must BELIEVE in what He says. We must receive His Word of Truth that He preaches to us. We must reckon ourselves dead to sin but ALIVE to God in Jesus Christ who has already defeated mortal death for us today. He is alive...He is resurrected.. so that we might have His resurrected life today.
2Ti 1:9-10 KJV
(9) Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
He has rendered mortal death idle and has brought life and immortality (unending existence) to light through the good news (gospel). The truth of the gospel has not been preached by the many false prophets who are currently leading MANY astray to their mortal deaths (having never received an age-lasting life).
(10) But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
We continue to live to the end of this current age (living TO the last day) where then (AT the last day) we (who will have never mortally perished) shall put on immortality in order to enter into the next age.
“Flesh and blood” cannot enter into the coming age where the kingdom of God rules over the entire earth. We must be changed before.
We (who shall never die through out this current age) shall be “changed” AT the last day of this current age from mortal (flesh and blood) into immortal before entering into the coming age.
We continue to mortally live TO the last day where AT the last day we are changed to immortal.
“We shall not ALL sleep”. We who inherit an age-lasting life now in this current ages shall never mortally die…we shall not sleep.
We have witnessed though the previous Christians before us who have all mortally perished. They “sleep” ….having an intermission from this current age. They have no part any more in what happens here in this earth in the remainder of this current age. They will be raised AT the last day of this age. They experience age-lasting death in judgment as they mortally perished under His wrath.
The dead believed in Christ but were led astray from inheriting that age-lasting life. They never heard the Word of Truth as the false prophets who “preached” to them did not understand it. They did not preach the truth of the gospel. Their pastors pastored the flock of the slaughter…those who mortally perished.
But Christ is Lord of both the dead (those who mortally perished without hearing the gospel of truth) and the living (those Christians who will inherit an age-lasting life now in this age because they heard the Word of Truth and believed).
The dead (who did not inherit an age-lasting life) shall be raised imperishable and “WE” (who inherit an age-lasting life) shall be changed from mortal to immortal. This happens AT the last day….at the last trump...before entering into the next age. This current age ends and the next age begins in a moment...in the twinkling of an eye
1Co 15:51-53 KJV
(51) Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
(52) In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
(53) For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
We today are to hear the Word of Truth and believe and be saved…to inherit an age-lasting life. Let that (the Word of Truth) which you hear abide in you. Keep the Seed….the true Word of God as preached by the true Christ.
Those who preach the true words of Christ are of the Spirit/Breath of Truth. They are of God. The antichrist is preaching the words from the spirit of error. They are not of God.
If what you heard from the “Beginning” (the Beginning is the true Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior) shall remain in you, you shall also CONTINUE in the Son and in the Father. We continue here because we have an age-lasting life now.
What do we hear from Him that should remain in us?
The Word of Truth that we hear and are to believe in…..having it ABIDE within us. The Seed remains in the believers. The unbelievers of His Word will not let it remain in them. The Seed is removed out of their hearts so that they cannot understand it and believe and be saved.
We who believe (keeping the Word within us) shall REMAIN here alive…continuing here in the Son and in the Father.
1Jn 2:24-26 KJV
(24) Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
This is the promise that He promised us: an AGE-LASTING life in the here-and-now age.
(25) And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal (AGE-LASTING) life.
Those who are seducing us will not hear His voice and believe it is Him speaking to them.
(26) These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.
The deceivers will deny that the true Jesus is the true Christ when they hear His Truth as spoken by Him.
When they hear His Word of Truth as preached by Him, they will not believe that it is the true Jesus the true Christ speaking to them. They will hear His voice but will deny Him as the true Christ. If they deny the Son, then they are denying the Father as well.
1Jn 2:21-22
(21) I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
(22) Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
(23) Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father
The Word of the Lord REMAINS (present tense) INTO THE AGE. If we receive His Word (the good news as preached by the true Christ), then we are to also REMAIN INTO this current age. The Seed of the Word of Truth shall remain in us. We shall never mortally die (perish) but shall have an age-lasting life if we believe in Him who speaks to us today His Word.
“to the age”= INTO the age.
1 Peter 1:25
Young's Literal Translation
and the saying of the Lord doth remain -- to the age; and this is the saying that was proclaimed good news to you.
He that does the will of God ABIDES (present tense) INTO THE AGE we are currently living in. The antichrists will not show love towards the brothers who come preaching the Word of Truth to their hearing ears. They will not do the will of God.
1Jn 2:17-18
(17) And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abides forever (INTO THE AGE).
(18) Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
The false prophets who are preaching from the spirit of error are not speaking the true teaching of Christ. They are antichrist even though they profess that they are speaking His words.
They will not listen to the brothers who are speaking His true words…who have Jesus Christ manifest in their mortal flesh.
Jesus HAS COME in the flesh of those who speak His true words to them. Greater is He (Jesus Christ) that IS IN YOU…in our mortal flesh…than he that is in them.
They will deny us who have Jesus speaking through us. They deny the true Jesus Christ and the Father who sent Him to speak to them through those who have Him in their mortal flesh. They will not believe that it is Him speaking to their hearing ears. "He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me."
1Jn 4:1-6 KJV
(1) Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
(2) Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
(3) And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
Jesus Christ HAS COME in our mortal flesh of those who are of God. Greater is He that IS IN YOU (in our mortal flesh) that he that is in the world.
The unbelievers of the orderly arrangements of the man-based churches will not believe that Christ is speaking through the true brothers who have Him IN their flesh.
(4) Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
(5) They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
Those who are of God will hear us and those who are not of God will not hear us.
(6) We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
Those who are of the antichrist spirit will not hear us. He that does not hear you does not hear Him. He that rejects you rejects the true Jesus the true Christ and rejects the Father who sent Him. They deny that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh of those who speak His words. They deny the true Jesus and deny the Father when they do as the Father sent Him to speak the true words of God. they will not hear us (whom He is in) so they reject Jesus Christ (as they reject His words) and so reject the Father who sent Him to speak to them.
Luk 10:16 KJV
(16) He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me.
He that receives you receives Him and he that receives the Son receives the Father that sent Him.
Mat 10:40 KJV
(40) He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.
This will all be repeated again. Those who love to be first in the man-based churches will NOT receive the brothers who come speaking the true words of the Lord. They will deny that Jesus has come in the flesh...that Jesus IS IN the mortal flesh of those brothers sent by Him to preach the Word of Truth to their hearing ears. They will behave badly towards them and any who will receive them. He that does good is of God and he that does evil has not seen God.
3Jn 1:9-11 KJV
(9) I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not.
(10) Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church.
(11) Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
