1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation,
His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you
out of darkness into His marvelous light;
Deuteronomy 33:
8 And of Levi he said:
Let Your Thummim and Your Urim be with Your holy one,
Whom You tested at Massah,
And with whom You contended at the waters of Meribah,
9 Who says of his father and mother, ‘I have not seen them’;
Nor did he acknowledge his brothers, Or know his own children;
For they have observed Your word And kept Your covenant.
Luke 14:26 If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children,
brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple.
Matthew 19:29 If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children,
brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple.
10 They shall teach Jacob Your judgments, And Israel, your law.
They shall put incense before You, And a whole burnt sacrifice on Your altar.
Malachi 2:
5 My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the fear
wherewith he feared me, and was afraid before my name.
6 The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips:
he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity.
7 For the priest's lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth:
for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts.
Jeremiah 3:15 And I will give you shepherds according to My heart,
who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.
Proverbs 4:7 Get Wisdom first, then receive the understanding.
Admonition: The meekness of wisdom
James 3:
13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct
that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom.
14 But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts,
do not boast and lie against the truth.
15 This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic.
16 For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.
(even in online discussion forums)
17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield,
full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.
18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
Exhortation
2 Timothy 2:15 Be diligent in presenting yourself approved to God,
a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.
