So, I've posted several posts about clothing and I'm trying to remind myself of the verse, Matthew 6:34.
When I was in the hospital, I came home and was concerned I wouldn't have anything to wear for a specific occasion that never happened.
I would find something I liked, that I had in mind and would buy it, even though I might not need it and not want to store it in my closet past a couple of wears.
I get this idea in my head that they're never gonna have that same item to buy, ever again and while that's true, the more important thing to me in the meantime, is my health and the fibers I am wearing.
I have just joined the waiting list for the Courted dating app. It secured a deposit, set by the woman for her expense to get ready for the date, and it insures no flakeyness or ghosting, and etc You don't talk for months, or not talk at all
It's just a more secure way of an approach to online dating.
The reason I bring this up, is because my wardrobe centers around what I think I look good in, obviously.
Clothing these days, is incredibly suggestive. I believe that only has one place, and that is with your husband or potential future husband.
Everything I try on, everything I put on has an allure to it, that a basic does not.
However, the basics I have found, are dye free or low impact dyed, all natural fibers.
I'm still seeing cute clothing all around me, which is a huge stumbling block for me & an large expense, at that.
I believe I only need to worry about stocking up on the basics, some basic cotton t shirts
Joggers, bottoms and hoodies, as well as Organic cotton fibers for under, as well.
I'm getting distracted, by the over consumerism and how cute something might be, and swiping it up
Whether it costs too much or not, For fear I won't have anything for an occasion that isn't even happening.
I'll see something ahead of time, and think it would good for that whether it happens or not.
Even if it does happen, I buy it ahead of time and then just store it and end up not wanting it after.
Toxic fibers, polyester synthetics, etc..
All because something may happen in the future, and it's probably not likely.
Then I end up wearing what I bought, around people around town who are not the intended audience for it.
I joined Courted dating app with this specific in mind. That the next time I start from buying a basic, non toxic piece
Will only be if I'm meeting someone I wanna meet.
Not for errands, not for vacations, not for trips.. Just for a Courted dating app, if it ever becomes available in my city.
It's not currently available in my city.
Otherwise, I'm gonna stock up on basic, pieces that are all non toxic, and dye free and appropriate for my lifestyle which is running errands, and staying at home. Going to the Doctor, etc.
I dunno why people have a problem with this app, if that's how it could be used.
I think most women wouldn't use it that way, but that's how I would.
And there are natural fibers you can find in trendy clothing, as well
But, it's not the same.
The guy I like is an influencer.. I don't think he would have me, scrambling to find something to wear That I can't afford For something that hasn't even happened Nor do I think if I ever got married That a guy would want me to be seen in all of this trendy clothing
While I'm walking through the parking lot with my parents, etc.. that's one of the most dangerous places, to be worrying about what you wear anyway!
So, from here on out, I don't care what it is, if it sells out if the style goes away, if I had it in mind for something specific, etc.
I'm only going to buy the sustainable, dye free cotton for as long as I can.
That's what is best for your skin. So, that is what I'm gonna buy.
That will be expensive, as well. But, that will be worth it. And I have my sheer scarves I can drape over me, to add some style to it.
If I don't have an event, there's no reason why I need an outfit. Even if that style sells out.
I dunno, I just feel like I'm onto something better for my finances, as well.
Matthew 6:34
Also, longevity is better with dye free, and Organic clothing so that's what I'm gonna aim for
