  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Pulte, a man with zero intelligence experience is going to be the director of National Intelligence

President Donald Trump’s pick for acting director of national intelligence, Bill Pulte, showed up at his new job a day early on Thursday after asking for a list of every employee in the office so he could assess whether to fire them, two sources familiar with the matter told CNN.

I think it could easily be argued that it's bad enough to have someone with zero experience leading the angecy.

Can anyone help me understand how having someone with no background experience is going to be the BEST POSSIBLE to lead a portfolio with the intention of cutting large portions of staff?

And at a time like now, is getting RID of intelligence officers a GOOD idea?

We better be careful.

We are complaining about incompetent leadership again and it gets really tiring when we always complain about incompetent leadership.

Of course, there is always and forever the option of competent leadership. But if it isn't there, we don't have teh ability to comment on it. That must be frustrating for some.

I suppose it's one of the benefits of the Dunning-Kruger effect - Pulte can act fearlessly because he has no ability to assess the ramifications of his actions; he can be guided by political expediency and favoritism.

I am not sure why most people don't understand what is really happening here.
Let me theorize...

It is the complete breakdown of Democracy in order to build up a new "kind" of government.

Hint: It has nothing to do with Jesus Christ of Nazareth and everything to do with the deceiver.

Be blessed.

Pulte has been sent in as a wrecking ball and to go after Trump's list of enemies.

Trump actually withheld Clayton from meeting with the Senate. The Senate was moving too rapidly with his half-qualified candidate. Trump needs his unqualified candidate to do some dirty work first.

"It's regrettable that the president has directed Jay Clayton not to appear at his confirmation hearing today. Mr. Clayton is a patriot and a highly qualified nominee, as the president has said repeatedly. While today's hearing is now unfortunately postponed, I look forward to proceeding with his confirmation in the near future," Cotton [R-AR] wrote.

Trump, who is currently at the G7 Summit in France, issued his demands in a post just before 4 a.m. eastern on Truth Social.

In the post, Trump said the plan to quickly approve Clayton was part of a deal with Democrats to derail his previous, temporary pick, Bill Pulte, who has no intelligence experience and has been criticized as a political attack dog for the president.

Trump's acting director of national intelligence begins firings at agency, sources say

Bill Pulte, a Trump loyalist with zero intelligence experience, took over the agency late last week and had promised to cut hundreds of jobs at ODNI once taking over.

It was not immediately clear how many jobs had already been affected, but sources told ABC News that the National Counterterrorism Center was expected to be hit hard.

It's a good thing there aren't any accelerationist nuts out there planning terror attacks on high profile events in the United States.

It's getting harder for me to understand how Trump is making America better in ANY way.

I mean, are people paying less in taxes? What is it that is better in the US now than before?

What sytems are stronger?

Trump’s Acting Intel Chief Begins Purge of Top Officials, MS NOW Reports

"Right, new to MS NOW, I'm told by an intelligence official that the current Acting Director of National Intelligence, Bill Pulte, has begun moving forward with dozens of terminations of intelligence officials under the agencies of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. Now, this is notable — two weeks ago he removed and fired six political appointees who were serving under then-Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard," began Hillyard, adding:

And I am told by an intelligence official, who is remaining anonymous out of fear of reprisal, that this is a moment where, over the last 24 hours — and we can expect in the days ahead — Pulte, out of the belief among some in leadership… I'm told that there are individuals who they claim are, quote, "part of the deep state," withholding information related to intelligence that has been requested by leadership at the ODNI, and that those individuals are the ones being terminated. These are not just political appointees — these are career officials.

Now, as part of this reporting, of course, it's important to also bring into context reporting with our colleague David Rohde on the national security side here at MS NOW, that former officials tell us they have never heard of such a move as this — but, more importantly, that they have never heard of intelligence officials within the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, or the more than 15 agencies — including the CIA — that fall under it, actively withholding requested information.

Sounds like a good plan. If one is part of the deep state AND they are withholding information, that is a serious problem. It makes it very difficult to make decisions if you don't have all the information. In intelligence it is critical to have information.

It is, however, a big if.
